This is a Microtransation nightmare with popups continually wanting you to spend money...and when the popups are asking you to spend £100 for a 2% upgrade to one stat and 1% on another, they aren't exactly micro...... Unless you have a couple of hundred thousand pounds to pump into the game you will always be cannon fodder to the whales that have been playing for 10 years and have multiple HUGE accounts. To level up the armour on ONE hero costs around £20,000 - and there are 20-30 heroes...... Gambling is a HUGE part of this game - looking at paying in excess of £2,500 to get the items that have a 0.1% chance of dropping - which are the things that everyone wants. Using gold (premium ingame currency) is more expensive than using real money. Many bugs in this 10 year old game that have been ignored by the devs in favour of new things to buy. Bots are widely used across all servers. Racial and homophobic slurs, threats of r@pe and similar appalling comments are allowed in chat. Play the game for 1 year and you are still bottom of the pile, this is a game that needs you to spend 8-10 hrs a day playing and that just to collect the resources needed for war. This game hates you. Your time. Your efforts. In typical p2w manner this game is nothing short of predatory. Yes you can play without spending. Yes it is easy to leave it in a window all day as you work or do whatever (thus explaining my played time). The problem is that everything is designed to coax you into paying money. Everything. The onslaught of events, things to do, ads, things you are encouraged to pay for. That is endless. It literally does not stop and even with paying money it takes a long time (and a LOT of money) to get strong and you do need to no-life events to win them, and each update makes it worse and worse of a cash grab scam. If you have tens of thousands to burn and absolutely nothing to do all day but sit on your ass, yes sure you may have fun here. Everyone else? Play something else. Anything else. Literally anything.

I’ve played Doomsday: Last Survivors for years, spent money on it, built friendships around it, and genuinely wanted to see it succeed. That is exactly why the current direction is so disappointing. The biggest problem is not simply that the game monetises. Most long-term players understand that live-service games need revenue. The problem is that progression increasingly feels designed around constant spending just to avoid falling behind. Armaments, Weapon Transcendence, power creep, endless new systems, increasingly expensive progression and poor catch-up mechanics have made previous investment feel disposable. You can spend heavily on one system, only to have the next update raise the ceiling again. At some point, spending stops feeling like progression and starts feeling like renting relevance until the next update. Matchmaking also remains a major frustration. Alliances can be placed into wildly uneven fights where the outcome feels largely determined before the event even begins. That is not meaningful competition. This game is an infinite paywall. They did 3 collabs back to back to back. They added transcended armament which cost 23k USD per set imagine 5 squads = 100k. Players did a petition and IGG reacted with a false email stating that they will fix things but never gave a timeline. If you are f2p/low spender honestly skip this 7game and save time + money you will never be able to keep up even if you are there 24/7 after their last update a lot of players quit for Rise Of Kingdom which is much more funnier

great game, expensive and hard to awaken the legendary heros, putting up the amount of hero pieces for the skills like it is, takes away some of the appeal in the game. The matching of teams is all over the show too, I see a few complaints about the matching process.

I’ve been playing Doomsday’s Last Survivor for a while now, and I can’t recommend it anymore. The developers have stopped engaging with player feedback and it’s clear the priority now is squeezing money out of the community rather than improving the actual game experience. Player concerns get ignored update after update, while monetization keeps getting more aggressive. It feels less like a game being cared for and more like a product being milked. I’m joining the boycott along with a lot of other players. If IGG wants our support back, they need to start actually listening to the people who play this game — not just our wallets. Would not recommend until the devs show they actually care about the community again.
