You don't really do anything to help the pets. Your goal is just click in order as fast as you can to get the most pets through before your timer runs out.

First, a note: This game seems to have serious functionality issues in Windows 10. Or, at least it does on my system. No matter what compatibility setting I use, it still only runs for a short while before crashing. Fortunately though, I did play it a bit on my old Windows 8 computer, so the small amount of refresher time was enough to at least feel able to leave a fair review. As far as the gameplay goes: it is a time management game. Unfortunately, it does it in the worst way. That is, while this is marketed as a veterinary game, the gameplay is literally just rapidly clicking as fast as you possibly can. You basically click the animal once to evaluate them, and then go to the medicine cabinet to get a syringe, then click the animal again to give them the shot. Sometimes there's a contagious disease that requires hand-washing or the need to go grab the x-ray machine to use on some patients, but even then, it's all just rapid clicking. This is a game that would have gained so much from the inclusion of mini-games or even just different diagnosis/treatment possibilities, or something. Plus, the "upgrades" are insufficient. A simple point and click that is buggy. Game crashed on me after only 5 minutes of game play and when I restarted the game I could not click on anything. There are plenty of better games.

This is a pretty decent time management game which relies on planning (and clicking) your actions in advance to chain combos to get enough points for the level goal. The story is non-existant, the visuals are OK and the music is decent enough albeit pretty generic. The levels don't get boring since the game throws different twists and new mechanics (and combinations thereof) at you pretty regularly. I'm not done with all the levels just yet, but I'd say there's less than 5 hours of gameplay all in all. It's got decent humor, and I think is well suited to people who work or have worked in customer support (holding two livechats and a phone call at the same time is pretty good preparation for this game). I also don't get the negative reviews. I think people are venting their own frustrations through the reviews and it's not giving an objective image of the game. I mean seriously, people, if you came to this game, looked at the screenshots and expected a realistic simulator game, then there's something wrong with your expectations, not the game.

The interesting thing about Dr. Daisy Pet Vet is not that it's attempting to be a top down business simulator/tycoon/tablet clicker game, but that it's a horrible tablet-port tier clicker game released in 2008, years before the massive influx of tablet games showed up and permanently lowered the general level of quality of video games by several orders of magnitude. Run a vet clinic, not by understanding animal care or anything, but by clicking mindlessly on the screen repeatedly with no real method or skill necessary. To enjoy this fixed resolution, fixed controls, low quality game properly, the best approach is to have an elective lobotomy, or, if your medical carers won't oblige, several sharp blows to the head with blunt instruments.

The cursor lags like crazy and leaves artifacting, and halfway through the tutorial I realized that the sprites on the patient's chairs for the turtles were just outright missing. Gameplay is like a pet themed Diner Dash. Get a production line, of in this case animals, gotta dispatch them to various stations to clear them off the screen and raise a meter.
