Dragon's Eye

There are only a few natural disasters to ever hit the world. Tsunami's, Hurricanes, Apartheid and now Dragon's Eye... I played this game for a few hours and that small period of time felt like eternity (See Einsteins theory on relativity for references) The gameplay is clunky. The design is mediocre at best and looks cheaply made. The map doesn't ACTUALLY work as whenever you open the map, half of it is glitched off screen. I was looking forward to a small open world game where you play as a Knight and vanquish enemies. Like something out of a childrens story. Instead, i got the culmination of knock-off minecraft graphics mixed with cyberpunk but ONLY it's glitches. I'm still genuinely surprised to see that this game is being sold for more than £10. Clearly Pixel Maverick Games are trying desperately to recoup their losses with this steaming dog turd. Sometimes you just need to let a ship sink.. I understand that this game is still relatively new, having been out now for roughly 8 months but this does not excuse the poor execution of it's design. For being early access from a solo developer, this game is in awesome shape. I've put about 6 hours into the game so far and have enjoyed it all. The map is huge, there are side quests that give you different kinds of buffs to help you out, quite a few different enemies, a variety of zones/biomes, and some really great and challenging platforming. I'm excited to see what's in store once the castle is finished! Definitely worth checking out!

It has such amazing potential, I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished.

This game is amazing! The nostalgic vibe and beautiful fantasy environment fully fleshed out in the classic knight vs monster theme. The combat is also fun and innovative. I hope in full release there will be more narrative to the story, add functionalities such as character customization, talent trees and quest log. It has the potential to become the next 'Fable Franchise'.

Bought because of graphic style and price, very happily surprised. Its got a map and small open world, combat is good, controls are great on controller, Everything just worked on Steam deck no problems. Well worth the price. its health and stamina work similar to Zelda botw, and you use campfires as respawn points like Dark souls. Plays like an old school 3D platformer adventure game. Absolutely recommend.

Beautiful game, really well made, vistas and action are a treat. Loved every moment, until ... A spiral staircase of separate steps, lava down below, difficult for a 70 y.o. gamer like me. Just a jump away, after tries, when skeletons that materialize near you after a while, appeared and killed me by the next campfire save game, haha. A grace time, no skels in that blessed stairway, I should think ?. --Update: make my own C.E. tables, found jump glide -somewhat different than usual in most games- so no trouble now, phew ! Anyway, totally recommend the game, excellent buy for the price, and the dev is *really talented*, all that work by himself, bjc. - UPDATE: and .... finished all content, including very nice castle interiors (super jump). Finished or not I had a swell, fullfilling time, totally worhty. Glad to have it to revisit it some day if I can, thanks so much! Adding it to special solo dev games that deliver a complex and rich soul made creation (like Versus Dev -game completed, beautiful ending-, or Megasphere -uncompleted but what there is, is much better by far in content and quality than most games, like Dragon's Eye).
