First of all - that game would much more suit mobile - that swipe movement would be just perfect. With that above it's not that perfect on PC, moves that are not connecting - ninja first need to walk to swipe start point to begin attack. Quite often you might get yourself cornered into wall when facing blocking opponent which you can't jump above. Story tried to be humurous but that almost childish insults made me feel disconcerted. Guess I'm not dedicated audience for that, but at least campaign was short and managed to go through it in 2 sessions.1 found this helpful
So here's an experiment. Try moving your finger across the screen. Okay good. Now try moving you mouse across the screen, hold the left mouse button and move the mouse across the screen again. Okay so now question... which one of those two tasks is easier and more accurate? If you're a normal, rational person you would say the first task right? Now which of those tasks is more taxing on your wrists? The second task right? Did the devs not do this simple experiment before they came up with the idea of releasing this game on steam? Guys... this game was not made for mouse support, I know you wanted it to be but if that's the case then you have to optimize it for that purpose. This game was basically just ported from a touch screen format, repurposed for mouse support and called it a day. At the very least, recommend people use a touchpad or something for the best experience. Didn't think of that though did you? The cutscenes are broken and some of them have QTEs where you have to draw lines... let's see broken cutscenes with QTE events... oh what could go wrong? I mean low, low, low optimization effort. Can it be beaten? Sure. Good luck on the challenges though. I'd love to…1 found this helpful
funny gimmick game that overstays its welcome1 found this helpful
I rarely leave negative reviews. I've played hundreds of games on Steam and usually move on if I don't enjoy something. This is one of the few games I actively recommend avoiding. The biggest problem is that the game constantly stretches simple ideas into tedious repetition. Story mode frequently locks you into tutorial-like objectives such as "Kill 3 enemies with this skill." The game then spawns those enemies one at a time, forcing you to refill the skill meter multiple times just to finish a level. What should take seconds gets dragged out into minutes. Several story levels feel like they contain one minute of actual gameplay padded into much longer stages. Instead of improving mechanics, the game simply makes you repeat them. There are multiple sections where a Donkey Kong-style enemy throws barrels and your only options are to jump over them or walk underneath them. The sequence gets longer each time, but never more interesting. A surprising amount of the game is spent waiting. Boss fights suffer from the same issue. Most of them rely on a single mechanic with minor pattern changes as the boss loses health. The final bosses are especially bad, requiring you to repeat the sa…
Even for 2 bucks this isnt really worth your time. Decent concept but stretched too thin for too long by the second level, which is capped off by a boss that has one of the most frustrating designs ive seen in years. I beat the level out of pure spite but I wouldnt recommend anybody to do the same, even for free, as I dont think theres much fun to be had here.
the only saving grace of this game is that it has fruit ninja
