BADLAND is an atmospheric side-scrolling action adventure platformer set in a gorgeous forest full of various inhabitants, trees and flowers. Although the forest appears to be right out of a beautiful fairy tale, there’s something terribly wrong. The player controls one of the forest dwellers to find out what’s going on, and discovers an astonishing number of imaginative traps and obstacles on the way.

A really solid atmospheric platformer with some creative physics-based puzzles and chaotic co-op moments. The art style and sound design carry the experience hard, especially during the more intense obstacle sections. It can get frustrating at times, but the checkpoints are forgiving enough to keep things moving. Definitely one of those indie games that feels simple at first but gets surprisingly addictive.4 found this helpful

How can you give a thumbs down on a game that cost me a $1.08 and lasted for 27 hours? I usually don't have that long of an attention span either. I developed a love/hate relationship with this game, as it has everything I like...it's divided into minigames with the goal of getting your flying furball from left to right intact and it has good save features for every checkpoint. The world is very creative and varying.....changing sizes, speed, and abilities keep it always fresh with each new scenario. On the hate side, I did all the normal chapters without skipping a checkpoint but the bonus games are crowd sourced, with many excruciatingly difficult....no wonder it's called "eternal day" because I could spend eternity in there without the skip feature. In sum, this game is like eating too much candy...it was great for awhile but after a thousand rounds (and they're still being produced) I felt overindulged...and my thumb will never be the same after hitting "A" on the controller 5 million times.
I bought it, I don't remember how much, cheap in a word. I remembered my school years and those 4-finger choppers at the corners of the screen, by the way, they kept it here, you can also hack with friends from the same computer. For those who see it for the first time, that vibe, that nostalgia of the badlands, will not be clear, the game is really iconic. I am glad that this is one of the few memorable games for me that was transferred to steam and bought by me. One of the nuggets of my still small collection
