Warning: Asset Flip!
DriftZ is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Studio Inward, took the Zombie Drift Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, BoneCracker Games, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. Studio Inward has shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. A good time killer for the price. Maps could be a little bigger maybe. Game play is fun and casual on most levels. The game concept could be fleshed out into something much more epic, so hopefully there will be a DriftZ 2 in future.1 found this helpful
DriftZ is an indie arcade driving game that builds its entire identity around a single, focused idea: drifting is not just a stylish maneuver, but your primary means of survival. Developed and published by Studio Inward, the game places players in a brightly stylized post-apocalyptic world where zombies roam freely and conventional combat is replaced by momentum, precision, and vehicle control. Rather than attempting to simulate realistic driving or deliver a deep narrative experience, DriftZ embraces simplicity and immediacy, aiming to deliver short, energetic bursts of action that reward skillful movement and quick decision-making. The premise is straightforward and intentionally light on exposition. Humanity is on the brink, zombies flood the land, and cars have become weapons of last resort. You take control of battered vehicles and drive through hostile environments, using drifts to evade danger, mow down enemies, and rack up points.
