Surprisingly fun for how simple the gameplay loop is. Atmospheric effects are really hitting hard and game manages to feel scary even without a single monster trying to kill you. Even though at first glance, nothing is trying to kill you, what you end up dying from is your own naivety that pushed you to explore too far from the recharge stations or just getting stranded in certain spots where resources are extremely scarce. Finding a gear upgrade never felt better and more needed in a game. When your energy or oxygen starts to go critical, the panic hits hard and you go into the mad rush to get trough to the checkpoint and save yourself from asphyxiation or waiting for the same in endless darkness. I find it unique and charming, even though it feels lacking in certain areas like, cinematics story and character interactions, as you are pretty much the only survivor and the only person you communicate with is some dude on the radio. Also, the dev missed hard on not naming the game Claustrophobia.1 found this helpful
I loved this game! Anytime a game lets me dig I'm a huge fan, and this one was literally nothing but digging. It was a bit like Astroneer which I really liked, too. But this one had more of a cohesive linear plot which I always appreciate. I like to have a story-element to games like this, otherwise I find motivation is hard. But this one had a great, simple premise to match the gameplay, and I think it really paid off. I really enjoyed my time with this, and if you think it looks fun at all I think 9$ is worth a shot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FUAoSRtD_Q&list=PLC6dyS5uZ4TzkWa1DZyyZCj-iASRpHvtn1 found this helpful
Cozy & relaxing with a bit of story. And it's cheap.
Drill and Delve, developed and published by noOne, is an exploration-focused mining adventure that places players deep beneath the planet's surface following a catastrophic collapse. Blending survival mechanics with a fully destructible underground world, the game revolves around carving your own path through rock while searching for a way back to the surface. Rather than relying on scripted routes or predetermined solutions, it encourages players to shape the environment themselves, turning every excavation into a meaningful part of the journey. The result is an experience built around discovery, persistence, and the constant thrill of venturing farther into the unknown. The defining feature is its fully destructible voxel-based terrain, allowing nearly every section of the underground environment to be excavated. This freedom makes exploration feel organic because players are not restricted to fixed pathways or linear progression. Every tunnel can become an opportunity to uncover hidden resources, secret passages, or valuable upgrades. Digging is more than simply clearing obstacles—it becomes the primary method of exploration, problem-solving, and progression. The satisfaction o…
One of those games that does exactly what it sets out to do. Use your drill to explore and gather resoures. Upgrade your gear, Survive. Reveal lore through journal entries. Hunt achievements. The story is there, and the voice acting is really appreciated. It's relaxing and enjoyable. Defintley one for those who like to chill and see what they can find.
As someone who really enjoys driller gameplay in deep rock galactic this game ticked all the same boxes for me. Loved the voice acting and trying to solve the sytery of the mine, still going back in to find more secrets!
