Dev should play his own game. If you start the game with only a settler it's literaly impossible to progress in this game. Scenario 1: Start with no tutorial. Nobody will build buildings since they lack skills. GG Scenario 2: Start with tutorial. Can't progress beacuse the idiot forgot that you need iron to make workbench. He deny you from building smelters to get said iron so again. GG Just remove the one settler option. IF this had been early access then he would have gotten a pass. But it's a feature complete game.2 found this helpful
Took me forever to send food because UI is too obtuse. Tutorial is a sequence of “click this then this” (and even then you may struggle to accomplish such simple tasks).1 found this helpful
An absolute peak of a game for grand strategy and RTS enjoyers alongside being a fun city builder. I feel a little confused at times about what the game wants to really be, but overall 9/10 if the content continues and some lite touch-ups are going to happen such as: - Automatization, it's very wonky and I feel it could be improved in more areas such as maybe giving your armies to a general or maybe improving what to automate more thorough instead of "transport x or y and nothing else" - UI, never would I think that I'd miss a Paradox UI in my life. Whilst this is not as bad as some games, it does have alot to be desired. If it could be thinned out or maybe have a few tooltips explaining a few things, it would honestly be such a ease of mind - Dynamic AI, whilst I can see the empires around the map have preset mentalities like fanatic purifier, federation builder and isolationist alongside the 'fallen empires', I feel like there's a partial lack of interaction between player and others beyond "friend or war" - 'Currency Balancing', I'd say that diplomacy points and gold are somehow both overrated and underrated depending on your playstyle where you could be dependent on them…
Very fun game
Solid game as it stands currently. The biggest annoyances are pathing bugs and some of the city automation. No performance issues and have only lost saves after growing a single massive city. Depth of city development and macro of armies is enjoyable and makes you consider your battles in relation food. I typically play with the universal gold, as I find it more fun, and recommend universal gold to everyone your first few times playing. I also recommend starting on one of the two smaller maps first. This is so you can get a handle on the game without the AI's getting too out of control.
Game is fun. Takes a bit of effort to learning the system and its mechanics but the game has a good amount of depth for its current state. The biggest gripe people will have towards this game is the UI and lack of hot key shortcuts. Im excited for multiplayer mode. Game has a lot of potential, both on the dev side and on a possible workshop/modding community. Keep up the good work,
