Dude Called Barry

Dude Called Barry is a small fast paced platformer that is much more focused on movement than I expected. I am thrown into short levels where the main goal is simply getting to the finish as quickly as possible. The levels are built around chaining movement abilities together, so I am constantly trying to keep my speed up and find the best way through each section. I like this kind of game because there is no complicated story getting in the way. I can just start a level, mess up, restart and immediately try again. The movement is easily the best part for me. The levels are short, but that actually works in the game's favour because I can keep replaying the same stage without it becoming a huge commitment. Once I understand the basic route, I start looking for little improvements in how I move and where I can save time. The game has medals and personal best tracking, so there is a real reason to keep practising instead of simply finishing each level once. I like when a platformer makes improvement itself the main reward. There is also a decent amount of content for such a small game. this game is eye candy to me honest to god i love the fast paced feeling ive only played it for 22 minutes as of the time im writing this but i love it so far.

The fishing mechanics were perfectly paced with the ADHD stimulating gameplay. Amazing!
