Create a Team of Heroes

Wizards! Robots! Thieves! Recruit a cast of characters to join you on your quest to save Etheria. Each hero brings unique abilities and defenses to the battlefield. Swap between your heroes on the fly to use all of their tools -- even in combat!

Build Your Defenses

Construct a deadly grid of laser beams. Drown your foes in quicksand. Build a wall of flamethrowers and watch the world burn, you sicko. A wide variety of defenses are at your disposal, and you'll need them all to protect the Eternia Crystals from the Old Ones' army.

Shoot and Loot

Leap into battle and get your hands dirty! Grab a sword, a bow or a laser shotgun to blast through hordes of enemies. As you play, you'll find loot and Shards to equip and customize your heroes with. Just beware of the goblin blood. As much as you scrub, the smell never goes away.

I decided to come back to this game recently because I was feeling a tower defense game, and this was recommended because it was relatively active. Turns out the only reason why it's active is because it's free to play and incredibly grindy. This game has a multitude of problems, but it's impressive to me that the developers managed to figure out the exact perfect way to create these problems. Upon login, and with a bit of progress in the game's campaign mode (which serves more as a tutorial than anything else), you're granted four heroes for free. Very generous! That is until you realize that they're all basically worthless. So you decide to create a new character. Unfortunately, if you want a new character, that'll be $25, which is absolutely egregious for a PvE game (and would be similar so for a PvP game too), but whatever. You buy your new character. Whoops, turns out your cool new character has towers that can't hit aerial units, or doesn't do well against ground units. You could use your free characters to fill these gaps but remember, the free characters are awful and so you're forever lacking in an aspect of a tower defense game. Unless you pay another $25 to get a hero …

They keep restricting ingame shop access bringing everything to a hault because they limit the amount of bags you can have for storage and they get filled extremely quick. They didn't add an anti cheat in the last 12 years so now a single cheater brings the game to a stand still and they are slowly losing their last 300 players.

This game is so fun and addicting, i have over 1000 hours in it and i have barely scratched the surface of the possibilities i can do. Theres so many characters, defenses, and strategies that you can vibe with, and all of them are good in their own way. Grinding is the best part of this game in my opinion. there is no better feeling than looting a perfect piece of gear that you can call yours.
