About Dungeon Defenders II
Blend tower defense strategy with action-packed combat as you build devastating defenses to protect Etheria's crystals while jumping into battle with a customizable team of heroes. Battle solo or with up to three friends in online co-op, leveling up your squad, collecting loot, and upgrading towers across diverse fantasy landscapes.

Create a Team of Heroes
Wizards! Robots! Thieves! Recruit a cast of characters to join you on your quest to save Etheria. Each hero brings unique abilities and defenses to the battlefield. Swap between your heroes on the fly to use all of their tools -- even in combat!

Build Your Defenses
Construct a deadly grid of laser beams. Drown your foes in quicksand. Build a wall of flamethrowers and watch the world burn, you sicko. A wide variety of defenses are at your disposal, and you'll need them all to protect the Eternia Crystals from the Old Ones' army.

Shoot and Loot
Leap into battle and get your hands dirty! Grab a sword, a bow or a laser shotgun to blast through hordes of enemies. As you play, you'll find loot and Shards to equip and customize your heroes with. Just beware of the goblin blood. As much as you scrub, the smell never goes away.

See the Sights
In your journey, you'll visit ancient forests, massive castles, haunted temples, active volcanoes, and a surprisingly small number of dungeons for a game named Dungeon Defenders II.

Bring a Friend (or 3)!
Dungeons aren’t meant to be defended alone! Invite your friends to join you in Etheria for four-player online co-op.

More Updates on the Way!
As we did in Early Access, we're going to add more heroes, maps, loot and things to do, and we'll continue to listen to you about how to improve Dungeon Defenders II!

What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players are divided on this game, with some praising it as an enjoyable tower defense experience with D&D elements and appreciating that it's free, while others feel it's a disappointing sequel that sacrifices the strategic depth of the original in favor of stat-based grinding and lacks the personality, map variety, and polish of its predecessor. Common complaints include inferior map design, cumbersome menus, and missing quality-of-life features like progress reset and ultrawide support, though minor issues don't deter some from recommending it.
A sequel inferior to its predecessor in every way shape and form. Less maps, less challenges, grindier system more based on stats and spam than it is on strategy like the previous game. It has none of the personality, the map design is far worse, the gear is annoying, the menus, the music, the art direction are all vastly inferior. Just go play the first one.1 found this helpful
it freeeeeeeeeeeeeee
awesome game, great for people who enjoy DnD or tower defence.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE A GOOD GRIND
amazing
Great Game, very enjoyable. My only gripe is that you cannot reset progress, which would be handy after not playing for a while, and the lack of ultrawide support, but those are only minor issues, don't let that stop you from playing at least a part of it. Would recommend.
