✦ AI summary
Players praise the game's solid puzzle design and hands-on VR interactions that make even simple actions feel engaging, with most finding the difficulty well-balanced to avoid excessive frustration. However, complaints center on the game's brevity and limited content—it's a single room with minimal scope—along with occasional control and UI issues like unclear interactable objects and limited movement options that can cause confusion or getting stuck.
Good puzzles, but frustrating precision part.
Dungeon Escape VR, developed and published by Silver Machine Studios, is a straightforward virtual reality puzzle experience that embraces the classic escape-room concept and adapts it into an interactive, immersive format. Rather than aiming for a large-scale adventure, the game focuses on a single contained scenario: you awaken inside a locked dungeon cell and must rely on observation, logic, and experimentation to find a way out. It’s a simple premise, but one that works well in VR, where even the smallest interaction can feel tangible and engaging. The game’s core strength lies in its hands-on approach to puzzle-solving. Instead of navigating menus or clicking through static environments, players physically interact with the world—opening containers, picking up objects, manipulating mechanisms, and testing different combinations of items. This tactile design makes the experience feel more grounded, as progress often depends on noticing subtle details or experimenting with the environment in a natural way. The puzzles themselves range from basic logic challenges to slightly more involved tasks that require careful thought, and while they are not overly complex, they are structu…
Not bad. I snatched it up on a sale I've paid this amount for much worse experiences. Controls seem to only be the click-to-teleport kind, game was small enough that I didn't bother checking if there's alternatives, The puzzles aren't that tricky, which at least means they aren't that frustrating. I thought I was in a lot of trouble with the ball maze in the Easy room,
but if you use your peepers you'll notice there's a significantly easier path to the goal above the scary-looking one.
I bought this looking for a fresh little novelty, and that's what I got.
A simple but fascinating roguelike game for VR. Budget graphics, but there is a dynamic gameplay. Short sessions, little content.
I could not open the drawers normally. At some point I thougt that they are decor so I got stack.
It's a short and nice game, especially for the discounted price of less then 1€. There is basically one room you can play in easy and hard mode, where in both cases you need to collect a certain amount of "cubes" for leaving the room (by solving challenges, most of all logical puzzles). The good thing is that you can do the challenges in any order, and you do not even need to do all of them in hard more. The challenges in the hard more are different then in the easy mode, so you can basically play it twice without a lot of repetition. The game is lacking some surprising or exceptional moments, but as well we came trough smoothly without any frustration moments.
