About DX-Ball 2: 20th Anniversary Edition

After more than 5 million downloads, the king of break-out games is back in a special 20th Anniversary Edition. Seumas McNally's fan-favourite DX-Ball 2 has been re-mastered for modern PCs while retaining all of the classic brick-breaking action and unique graphic style of the late 90's original.

Features:
  • 150 Boards from the original Board Pack 1 (aka Full Version) plus the all-new anniversary boardset and widescreen variants.
  • New dynamic animated boards change as you play!
  • Switch between new high-res board textures or the original 90's graphics at any time.
  • 20 classic power-ups plus the all-new gravity-ball, lightning and more!
  • Shoot the ball extra fast to instantly break multi-hit bricks with the new punch paddle!
  • Move the ball from a distance with the gravity push/pull paddle.
  • Saved games allow you to save your progress and continue later.
  • Compete for the best score with new online leaderboards.
  • Includes editing tools and full workshop support for creating and sharing custom boardsets with the community.
  • Collect in-game charms for extra points and achievements.

This was the family household game back in the early 2000's. Great to revisit this classic every now and then.

This one is called DX-Ball 2 but whatever the name, I love brick breaker games. This one is pretty good, even if the developers have seemingly lost interest in releasing the additional DLC. I would buy this on a sale - not because it's not worth it, but because I don't like to support skeezy dev practices.

i used to play this game as a kid on my family computer and had good memories with this game back in the 00s. it's just your typical breakout clone from the 90s, but rereleased after 20 years with some qol improvements from the original game. really fun game to play if you're bored or in the mood to wind down and relax + qol improvements from the original game (saves and resumes your progress, new powerups, more control with the paddle) + widescreen mode + great jungle ost + custom map course + steam workshop/mods support + classic from the 90s - not that fundamentally different from the original breakout game - the ost seems to be only in midi, would be nice if players could toggle between midi and higher-quality studio versions of the ost rip seumas mcnally, one of the earliest pioneers in indie gaming ---{ Graphics }--- ☐ You forget what reality is ☐ Beautiful ☐ Good ☐ Decent ☐ Bad ☑ Don‘t look too long at it ☐ MS-DOS ---{ Gameplay }--- ☐ Very good ☐ Good ☑ It's just gameplay ☐ Mehh ☐ Watch paint dry instead ☐ Just don't ---{ Audio }--- ☐ Eargasm ☐ Very good ☑ Good ☐ Not too bad ☐ Bad ☐ I'm now deaf ---{ Audience }--- ☑ Kids ☑ Teens ☑ Adults ☑ Grandma ---{ PC Requireme…
