Ed & Edda: GRAND PRIX – Racing Champions

Imagine releasing your kart racer right in between the first new Mario Kart in 11 years and the first new Sonic Racing game in 6 years. It was done this way to coincide with the German/UK produced cartoon movie "Grand Prix of Europe," but still, ouch. The game also isn't doing itself any favors by being rather expensive for what's on offer. It [i]is[/i] a good kart racing game with rather nice looking and creative tracks, decently fast and well-balanced racing, a variety of modes, and a persistent levelling system that allows you to unlock more parts and cosmetics as you level up. So all the gameplay parts are taken care of. The problem is there are only 12 tracks here, which may sound like a decent amount, but not when you find out they're all roughly 60 second tracks. I blew through the first two modes of the tournament race (8 tracks with 3 laps per track) in maybe 20-30 minutes before going to try the other modes (free race, time trial, and one where you have to go through gates to collect points). So in total you might be able to see the entire game in an hour or so. That's a bit light for the price. Arcade styled games are always lighter on content and heavier on replayabil…

Ed & Edda is such a delightful kart racer! It's bright, colorful, and full of charm perfect for families or anyone craving light-hearted fun. The tracks inspired by iconic European landmarks are delightful to race through, and the simple gameplay with drifting, boosting, fun power-ups, and unique character traits makes jumping in super easy and addictive. Fun and easy Mario cart kind of game. Not sure its worth 40 euros but if you can get in some sales or discounts it worth to give it a shot. Always can try demo first :)
