About Eden Genesis
Eden Genesis is a platform game focused on fast-paced trials, quick reflexes, and a rich story by the same dev team responsible for Aeterna Noctis. Take control of Leah, a young cyborg lady, and overcome challenging trials to liberate her corrupted mind!
A cyberpunk adventure
In the not-so-distant future, corporations rule the world providing ways of increasing the physical and intellectual capabilities of the common folk, at a high price...
Those who wear cybernetic implants are doomed. Their lifetime is coming to an end in a matter of time, but luckily for them, there may still be hope. The biggest tech conglomerate just announced a promising solution for this terrible disease!
You play as Leah, a young cyborg lady who joins this experimental treatment to find a cure for what is killing augmented people. Overcome the trials to unlock your full mind potential and eliminate the corruption born from the implants that are destroying your neurons.
Game mechanics
Fast-paced gameplay - Eden Genesis offers a wide world full of trials that require anticipation, quick reflexes, and nerves of steel. These sections contain both environmental and enemy hazards, besides frantic platforming puzzles. Players must overcome them to cure the illness suffered by the protagonist.
Responsive controls - The game features an intuitive level design for the players to enjoy precise movement controls. As you become more skilled and Leah liberates more neuron links, Eden Genesis allows you to get even faster completion times every time you enter a trial. In a game with such scale and platforming, responsive controls are a must-have, allowing precise movement and combat.
A balanced platformer - While any player will be able to reach the end of the game and complete the main story and numerous secondary phases, it is true that Eden Genesis offers some extra content for demanding players. Many of the trials are optional, and these offer a level of difficulty that only the most experienced will be able to overcome. However, the main playable and exploration core is designed to be accessible to all players.
Deep story - Eden Genesis features a stunning plot including philosophic themes and debates about what makes us humans and the limits of science and technology. As every good cyberpunk story does, Eden Genesis makes the player question reality, and have uncertainty about the future.
Futuristic setting - The world of Eden Genesis presents a future in which technological megacorporations dominate every aspect of everyday life. Neon lights and cybernetic implants are the protagonists of a unique 2D artistic design, which gives life to an immersive cyberpunk universe.

Big thumbs down from me. I don't know how a game with controls this imprecise and finicky gets released.1 found this helpful
Go play Dustforce..... Okay you want more? Good now I can recommend Eden Genesis with absolutely no regrets. Listen some games are just "more please" for another game, and that's fine because sometimes you just want more! Also I beat a minigame that I wasn't supposed to beat yet, so the game put it's hands on it's hips and went "you cheeky little rascal," gave me an achievement, and then locked the door properly. 10/10 love that ♥♥♥♥ it always makes me giggle.
This is an obnoxious game. It forces you to listen to 30 minutes of boring dialogue while teaching a bunch of complicated controls. It was so boring that I skipped theough the dialogue. Now I am stuck at a laser checkpoint that blasts you whenever you go through it. There’s no way to get the game to tell you what you need to do because they expected you to read their annoying 30 minute tutorial. These developers have no respect for gamers time or attention.
Eden Genesis is a skill based game where you’re supposed to complete levels with an S+ rank. The levels are divided between normal and extreme levels. It can be a challenge enough to get the highest ranks on normal levels, extreme levels take things steps further. These levels are scattered in a fairly big map where you’re supposed to find them, search for collectibles and encounter some extra secrets/easter eggs/small side quests. The map is divided in different biomes each with their own visual themes. You can’t just explore the map freely from the beginning, biomes are inaccessible until you complete enough levels. There is also a fairly big focus on the story with multiple voice acted characters. The story can be easily skipped if you don’t feel like it. Let me start by saying how remarkable it is for this game to gradually make you a better player. I remember having a hard time clearing normal levels. I slowly improved and managed to get S+ with all the normal levels along with their mirrored versions. Then I reached the step of thinking about the elite levels and how they looked impossible. I obviously got S+ after all that trying and then there was a last surprise. Even for…
The intro and tutorial take too long and cant be skipped, cant be arsed waiting half an hour to actually start playing the damn game.
I enjoyed Aeterna Noctis, so figured I'd give this a play. This is a fairly unique little platformer. The way you move on platforms is rather creative I'd say, and the way this leads to challenging levels is as well. The "getting jumps back through hitting" mechanic, while not unique, works well with the rest of the movement set and weapons and I really enjoyed it. Challenging game, but fair. This developer does really good with their platforming. Tight and responsive controls. I was very impressed with the platforming in Noctis, so it's no surprise that when they focus on just platforming, it's good. Yes there is some combat, but it's very limited, and typically it's to get back jumps and move further. There are levels that are combat levels and they have beefier enemies, but they are rare. The art style is nice, and the animations are smooth when playing; cutscenes are okay, kinda psuedo animation. The music and sound effects are all fine. Nothing special. The gameplay is where the game really shines. It's a REALLY fast-paced precision platformer. Each level you are scored and the overall goal would be to get an S+ on all of the levels. Most of the levels are simple enough and …
