Nifty, short, first-person melee souls-like1 found this helpful
I recommend this game if you don't mind that it is short and unfinished. The combat is fun, the soundtrack is cool, the environments and layouts are decent/good until the unfinished part...but it is unfinished.
No, it sucks. It's boring, the combat is easy but tedious because it's as unsatisfying as melee in Skyrim and there's no point in using anything but the hammer
Weapons are either boring or useless, enemies are improved in the second chapter but design is confusing and ugly. Only first boss fight is fun when games forces you to use parry and timing your attacks. You can also tell the developers got jaded midway through designing the third chapter! There are some fun moment.
Nice game, but too short - it ends jsut as the story is getting good. Ideally there should have been another chapter where you face off against
your tribe's elders
. Some of the weapons are kind of meh as well - the beginner sword falls off even before you leave the catacombs, the second spear is just a reskin and only useful for farming souls, the second heavy sword and mace don't really do anything too well compared to the first ones. Solid 7/10 game.
Neither "Metal" nor anything like a Souls-game (except for respawning enemies when using fountains). Most weapons suck, Chapter 2 is a miserable experience if you are using one that can't parry. Speaking of Chapter 2: ugly, confusing, annoying. Chapter 3 is not even worth talking about. This game might have been fun, if they only released Chapter 1 as a free prologue or something.
