About EMPTY SHELL
EMPTY SHELL will throw you in a dark industrial environment, a secret facility on a Japanese island in the middle of nowhere. Each volunteer has signed a contract for a "recovery operation" without being privy to too many details.

They said the facility had been abandoned for decades, but once in place it was immediately apparent that something was wrong.
Discover the dark secrets of the facility's years of operation, up until the accident that led to the extreme consequences you are involved in.
Every time you die, you will control a new volunteer sent to the place. Your starting equipment will be randomized and each level will be generated with a new layout.

Dark corridors and cold rooms. Abominable creatures and bloody fights. Puzzles to solve, equipment, logs and documents to recover await you in this roguelite survival horror.

A hopeless host of individuals differing in their own unfortunate circumstances are united in a goal. To make their way through a tormented facility filled with imitations of life. To either end a horror beyond comprehension or to further fuel humanity's greed to explore the unknown even at a morbid cost. This games atmosphere, story and gritty graphics come together to suck you in and make you experience the tense horrific nature of the task given to the volunteers as you tread down the corridors of the island's buildings its story pulls itself from the dark and lunges at you in all its unnatural dread, painting a bloody picture of twisted curiosity. In the pursuit of uncovering what befell the island the volunteers are just another expendable resource. Loved the story behind this game, The gameplay is fun and finally beating a tough level is rewarding. Very much enjoyed playing Empty Shell and am looking forward to Empty Shell 2.1 found this helpful
got this game for 50p on LOADED and it was well worth it, although to be fair what isnt worth 50p
This is really a hidden gem. It caught my eye when on sale because of the interesting art style, but the gameplay is what kept me hooked. Really fun.

good game
only just started this game but its already making itself up as one of my favorites, the gameplay itself feels amazing the guns feel heavy and hard hitting and the enemy's are diverse and actually fun to fight, and the story is also amazing the game doesn't force the story down your throat but lets you learn about it piece by piece using documents. All and all empty shell is an amazing game.
