Cool shooter game where you protect a train in a hostile world. The story follows a man who hears his wife’s voice over a radio. What makes this slightly unusual is the fact that the wife is dead. He jumps on his train and heads for Hopes, the town where the voice originated. Unfortunately, the game takes place in a depressing world where the sun died a long time ago and monsters are everywhere. He will need someone to defend him, and that is where you come in. The game takes place entirely aboard a train. Your mission is to shoot creatures and survive till the train arrives at the next station. Enemies appear in waves, and each vanquished wave brings the train closer to the station. They comes in different types, and each type comes in normal and stronger version. The train is rather bumpy, so you need to be careful not to get flung onto the tracks, which will kill you quickly. Enemies give you blood and the occasional item. These are highly important since they allow you to upgrade your only gun. Each next upgrade increases the price and the amount of required items. Everything you collect goes into your storage box. This game is pretty fun! It has good atmosphere and even gets a bit spooky at times. Cool boss designs too. It is rather grindy though, I feel like that could be fixed by letting you keep the items you've collected after you die. Game progression gets really hard when you get to the third area. Would recommend it for the price, though it might be a bit too janky for most. (Ladders are finicky in particular.)1 found this helpful
