Yep, it's one of those games where the trailer makes the game look epic but it's really not. Game is loud af, and the audio options don't really do anything to fix that lol. The voices also feel quiet compared to everything else, even with them turned up. And speaking of voices, the MC's voice is cringe af tbh. Feels like they tried too hard being edgy or something. Also, it's not really a controller friendly game, or at least right now. In my experience the game spazzes out when you have a controller plugged in, so had to make due with keyboard. And speaking of controls, despite there being a controls tab in options, you can't actually click to edit anything yet, which is weird. Also personally not really a fan of the VN style in this. And as for the gameplay... it's fine, but nothing special. Really do wish there was an air dash along with the ground dash tho. The good game is THERE, but it really does need work imo. Gonna refund this for now, but I might rebuy it once the full and finished thing releases.12 found this helpful
What I can say is that is has potential to be something great. I`m gonna put my thoughts in bullet points to make it easier. What I like about the game : 1. Character Design - The main casts has quite the unique looks to them that kinda reflects the world they`re living in. 2. Art Style - The environment design looks good and I like the vibrant colors of the world. Kudos on that ! 3. Grappling Mechanic - I like that we can control the trajectory of the way we`re grappling while in mid air, give a bit more control to the player instead of just flying straight to the point that we grappled. What can be improved: 1. Sound Design - I find that the sound design is a bit lacking in terms of impact and variety, maybe can improve more on that. 2. Character In-Game Animation - Some of the animations look a bit stiff while moving. Conclusion: Looking forward on future improvements on the game !!! Mantap geng !!3 found this helpful
Woww! Not gonna lie, ENDURA is different. Man, I have so much to say! (>v<) ENDURA opens with a compelling premise set in Barzakh prison, a name inspired by an Islamic concept of an afterlife dimension. This setting immediately drew me in, blending cultural references with the eerie atmosphere of a prison filled with the voices of the dead. The immersion is intense, and the developers have done an exceptional job in making this environment both intriguing and haunting. The game introduces us to Tassel, who becomes a crucial guide throughout the journey. After a gripping escape from Barzakh, you find yourself in ENDURA, a league of outcasts and misfits brought together to save the world. This twist on the usual hero’s journey where you play as an ex-convict who ends up joining a league dedicated to world-saving adds a refreshing layer to the narrative. The gameplay is as unique as the story. Endura offers unconventional mechanics like grappling onto kafkas (light flowers) and slowing down time by entering a different, slower dimension. This dimension change is not just a visual effect but a deep part of the game’s lore, with its own set of rules and challenges. The variety of…1 found this helpful
This game has a lot of potential. what shine the most about the game is the character designs, The gameplay is okay but it definitely need more variety and levels. I hope in the future there will be more activity to do than just killing mobs and seed delivery to keep the players engage with the gameplay loops. I would recommend do a lot of study about games like Psychonaut , Final Fantasy and Darksiders trilogy . If executes perfectly, you will get an amazing game. For the story, its really uncertain and its still unfolding and ongoing. I would recommend making the cutscene run in scripts like in gta where its all in-game scene so you don't have to use a big 4k video files. making the game as lightweight as possible. this is a good game for a small team and their first game on the Steam. Will look forward with the future updates with great interest. I'm giving this video game a recommended rating to promote its development so it can show its true potential. Ihis is not my finalised review. I will update the review when this game are fully updated and get to version 1.0.
