About Endurium

✦ AI summary

Deflect incoming plasma and blaster fire while fighting back against wave after wave of drones and melee bots in this VR arcade defense game that tests your reflexes with unpredictable combat pacing. Earn credits to level up your stats and unlock customizable equipment modules that let you tailor your loadout with everything from force fields and time-dilation to blade throws and explosive area clears.

Endurium is a VR arcade style defense game designed to test your reflexes as you progress from light cardio to light-speed combat against wave after wave of beam drones and plasma blade wielding bots.

•Focused on freeform combat

Like a rhythm game, but without the rhythm. Instead, pace fluctuates randomly moment to moment and you are free to destroy most beams with whichever hand you'd like. The goal is not only to survive against incoming beams, but also to return fire when the opportunity strikes and take out the drones that fire those beams! Deflect blaster bolts and engage in fierce melee combat!

•Level Up

Earn credits as you progress that you can spend to increase your stats. Increase the number of hits you can take, the length of your blades, the damage caused by your energy waves, or even the time-dilation that occurs when you take damage. Earn credits even on a loss, so there's never a reason to go back in difficulty - continue to push yourself and face ever intensifying challenge! Additionally, clearing levels unlocks equipment modules that enhance or alter your abilities.

•Unlock New Abilities

Choose your loadout and use your credits to enhance its effectiveness! Will you create a force-field that reduces damage when you restore your health? Or will you temporarily slow time? Gain the ability to throw your swords, or switch one out for a blaster! Equip an auto-targeting system to help destroy beam drones, or create explosions that clear the field of incoming beams when you gain a full charge!
Fully customize the appearance of each of your plasma blades. From the color and material to the components themselves.

✦ AI summary

Players praise Endurium as an engaging and physically demanding VR lightsaber game with excellent customization options, skill progression, and diverse gameplay modes that successfully blend elements from similar titles. Common complaints center on the game's intense physical requirements that may not suit those with limited mobility or small play spaces, repetitive battle music, and minor quality-of-life issues like menu navigation and the lack of a quick main menu return option.

This game is fantastic and it keeps getting better. If you like grinding for better beam sabers and shields, you can do that. If you like getting so good that you can play without any upgrades, you can do that. If you want to get a workout, you can do that. If you don't want a workout, you can do that but you probably won't be pushing your skills that way. There are other games that have similarities to this one but Endurium combines some of the best elements of all of them to create something totally unique.

I was blown away. The customization options for your sabers are top-notch - you can change the hilt, blade color, size, length, and even the material of the hilt. And the gameplay itself is intense, especially on the higher difficulty levels. I loved the level-based game mode and the endurance mode, which allowed me to keep playing for longer stretches of time. The variety of environments and enemies kept things fresh, and the skill tree and upgrades added an extra layer of depth to the game. All in all, I highly recommend Endurium to any fans of VR lightsaber games - it's definitely worth a play and you'll want to join the Discord https://discord.gg/utPMNzZpJW

It's Holopoint, but with swords and upgrades. This game is extremely physically demanding at higher levels, and it requires physical movement around the play space. People who are very out of shape and people with small play spaces should absolutely avoid this game. I am capable of side stepping reasonably fast (despite the fact that I'm very overweight), and my play space is about 2.5m x 1.5m - these are the least favorable conditions under which you should purchase this game. I moreover found myself wishing that I had some better cable management system than I have - on the last two levels, I found myself restricted by my VR headset's cable. Endurium is extremely simple - there are drones, they fire beams at you. If you get hit, you lose health. You can avoid getting hit by either physically dodging out of the way or by hitting the beam with your sword. Sometimes the drones fire special beams - which require you to hit them differently somehow - and hitting these beams gives you mana ("endurium") which allows you to use your sword to fire a beam back at the drones. The goal is to either survive for a certain period of time or to defeat a certain number of drones, depending on t…

Yes! YES! YESSS!!! This game is SO much fun! I can't believe it doesn't have more reviews! Pros! Affordable, profiles with independent progression and saved weapons, very physically engaging, funny voice acting, unlockable skills and powers, build your own light sabers for each hand (plasma colour, metal colours, and 3 different hilt components), so much enemy/hazard/projectile diversity, natural sword motion, and add your own music into the game. Cons: The battle music gets old real fast (So load your own music into the games music folder) Takes a bit to get a hang of the menus Needs an option to quit to main menu, instead of quitting the whole game just to switch profiles (for taking turns with friends Overall 2 big thumbs up! Amazing work. And what an amazing work out.
