"Overall I was very impressed by what Schell Games was able to achieve with a genre that is not really known for innovation. The game is addictive enough that you will want to complete it a few times in order to piece together the whole story and of course the co-op mode will also eat up a lot of your spare time if you have friends nearby. While shooter fans will obviously enjoy the game the most I urge anyone that has an interest in polished, unique titles to try it out as it is definitely worth the effort. It's a brutally fun side scrolling space shooter with one of the coolest mechanics I've seen in the genre. You play as a psychic being lost in space, and instead of piloting one single ship, you can possess and take control of pretty much anything you come across. Jumping from ship to ship mid-chaos, using their unique weapons and abilities against the rest of the fleet, feels fresh and incredibly satisfying.

I'm not usually a fan of Shoot 'em ups, but Enemy Mind is an exception. The unique possession mechanic encourages aggression and split-second decision making, making the gameplay extra fun. The game can be challenging at first, but after you settle in the difficulty is just right. Great game, definitely recommend.
Enemy Mind hooked me immediately with its core gimmick: possessing enemy ships rather than collecting powerups, which turns every wave into a real-time puzzle about which ships to save and which to destroy. The constant switching keeps things fresh, and each ship type feels distinct enough that swapping mid-battle actually matters. That said, the difficulty ramps up hard in the later levels, and having to replay a full 8-10 wave stage because a boss one-shots you gets old fast. It's a short game — I cleared it in a few hours — but the clever mechanics and surprisingly interesting story make it worth a look, especially on sale.
A fabulous throwback to sidescrolling space shooters with a fantastic twist. The game really pushes you to move fast and make quick decisions. Took me out of my normal comfort zone in a great way.
