About Engine Evolution 2021

This game was created during my studies at Charles University in Prague. I made most of the game alone. I hope you will enjoy it!
Engine Evolution is a multiplayer racing game that uses similar principles as World of Tanks. With each race against 11 other players, you gain experience and credits, for which you can buy various upgrades for your bike or unlock the next bike. You start with machines from 1906. Can you get to the very top and ride on modern technology?
Physics is simplified enough to give you passion from the ride, but it is not too complex to take hours to learn. It mainly focuses on providing players with the best passion for racing fights possible. The game's core is short, dynamic races with a high action density.
- 70 historic motorbikes from 7 nations
- 15 real and custom tracks
- 1000+ of various vehicle setups
Using a simple yet powerful customization system, you can customize your motorbikes and rider as much as you want. You can paint several parts of your vehicles with any combination of colors to create a unique design.
The game is based on custom cloud-saving technology. As part of that, it contains many classic MMO features like cloud save, leaderboards, daily missions, achievements, and stats! Compare yourself to other racers!

Engine Evolution 2021 comes across as the raw blueprint of an idea that is far more ambitious than its presentation initially suggests. Developed and published by Petr Šimůnek, it doesn’t try to compete with mainstream racing titles on visual fidelity or realism, but instead builds its identity around a persistent multiplayer structure and a progression system that attempts to mirror the historical development of motor racing. What you get is a game that feels closer to an evolving service platform than a traditional, self-contained racer, with its strengths rooted in long-term engagement rather than immediate spectacle. The driving itself is intentionally straightforward, designed to be approachable within minutes of starting. Controls are responsive and forgiving, allowing players to quickly adapt without needing to learn complex mechanics. At the same time, there is just enough nuance in how vehicles handle—especially when cornering at speed or navigating crowded sections of the track—to reward players who invest time into improving. It never leans into full simulation territory, but it avoids feeling completely shallow, striking a middle ground where the focus is on maintainin…
