Escape from Castle Claymount

Escape from Castle Claymount takes the familiar escape-room formula and gives it a memorable personality through a world that appears to have been carefully sculpted from clay. Developed by STUDIO LOOK and published by Coolmath Games, this 3D point-and-click adventure focuses almost entirely on exploration, observation, conversation, and puzzle solving. Its scope is relatively compact, but the combination of handcrafted visuals and interconnected challenges makes the castle feel much more substantial than its size might suggest. Escape from Castle Claymount is a really charming point and click adventure that I liked almost immediately because of its unusual claymation presentation. I am trapped inside a strange castle after an evil wizard locks me away, and I have to explore the rooms while figuring out how to escape. The whole thing feels like I have stepped into a quirky stop motion film, and that visual style gives the game a lot of character. The puzzle design is the main attraction for me. I need to search the castle carefully, collect unusual objects and work out how they can be used to unlock new areas. Some solutions are straightforward while others require me to remember information I discovered earlier. I enjoyed the process of examining everything because the game rewards curiosity instead of constantly telling me exactly where to look. The characters also add a lot to the experience. Other prisoners are scattered around the castle, and talking to them gives me clues about what they want and what might help me progress. This was a surprisingly good 1h hidden object game. I really like "photographic memory" mode, so you don't need to take random screenshots with your phone, like in so many similar games. Puzzles were a bit harder than typical hidden object game so like 3/5 not 1/5 difficulty, but there's hint system.

For the most part I find that the biggest fault with some escape room games is that the logic doesn't really follow suite, but Escape from Castle Claymount's puzzles all make so much sense and on top of that are very creative! The fact it's also claymation only adds more to the creativity and I adore the style so much. Took me about an hour and a half to finish but totally worth your time if you want something short, fun, and challenging to try out! Also it's free so can't go wrong with that :)

This is an amazing game. The graphics are incredible the cardboard and clay esthetic is incomparable to any game I have played. I highly recommend this game. It was amazing to play!
