Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players consistently praise this sequel as a strong follow-up that improves on the original with better graphics, more clever puzzles, and enhanced immersion through entering scenes for dialogue and puzzle-solving. The emotional storytelling, voice acting, and unique vertical level design where you see previous areas below you are frequently highlighted as standout features, though some note occasional clunky interactions and janky art elements that don't diminish the overall charm and enjoyment.
Wonderful story. Really enjoyed my play through. Fun little puzzles!3 found this helpful
A creative step up from the first game1 found this helpful
A absolutely great puzzle game . Good story and voice acting and music . My favorite part is as you go through the levels you see the previous levels below you . It’s a very cool and unique game play idea .1 found this helpful
Revisiting Wonderland is just as fun as going "Down the Rabbit Hole" for the first time. And everything is cranked up a notch or two. Graphics are even better, rooms are more detailed and the voice acting is superb. Going "into" the scenes for dialogue and some puzzles is a nice touch and makes the world feel more immersive as well. I can't wait to dive back in and I'm told it's even longer than the first one. Yay! Update after finishing the game: It's amazing. Wonderful story, that slowly unravels as you play. I got emotional. Love it when a game makes me feel things. So, highly recommended!1 found this helpful
Enjoyed the first game and this was a great sequel
If you enjoyed Down the Rabbit Hole, this is very much more of that. It's a more mature use of the concept, all round better executed. The puzzles are more clever in this one too, particularly in the second half. The interactions could at times be a little clunky and the art a little janky, but it has a charm to it. Thumbs up from me.
