This is basically Redfall if it was actually good and fun. Clearly inspired by horror B-movies, Everdark is an FPS with no frills in wich you move through different, pretty distinct levels in a town overrun by vampires. What I liked the most about it is that, despite its pretty dark setting, it doesn't take itself too seriously; instead Everdark fully embraces the campiness of the works it takes insipration from and rolls with it, especially with its dialogues and the arsenal you will utilize to try and save the world from the army of darkness (wink). What a nice game! It's short, but the difficulty makes it fun and challenging. If you love old school shooters, classic terror movies and vampires... This is your game!6 found this helpful
Is it good? It's passable. Is it fun? Again, passable. Is it better than Redfall? No. Props go to Everdark Labs for: 1. Including a Phantasm like track to the game menu. 2. Providing a prequel comic for backstory. 3. Luis Aspe's voice over that comes out like Kerry Shale from Someday You'll Return. Works perfectly with the game.1 found this helpful
