But during testing we realized that, at the true climbing pace, a single ascent would take about 4 real-time days. Very few players could push through 4 days of endless snowfields without anything else happening.So we decided to add Entertainment Mode with animals and snowmobile, allowing players to complete an ascent in their free time after work.Of course, you can also choose the Reality Mode, where every single step is taken manually. But be prepared for a very long climb before you reach the summit.We guarantee that Mount Everest in this game is recreated with 100% accuracy based on satellite mapping. That alone makes it a unique experience. When you finally reach the summit in-game, you will understand the breathtaking scale for yourself.

As a hiker, this was of interest to me so for the price - I thought I'd give it a try. The other reviews are correct - the game is very basic and lacks many important things such as: *realistic hunger meter *realistic water meter *altitude sickness (random - because it can affect anyone, even if acclimatized) *Inventory - for food, water etc. *items to filter water (from snow, or little ponds along route). *good use of hiking gears *save feature *some sort of clock feature so you can start to realize when it's going to get dark to make camp etc. *camps... *avalanche risks too - shifting snow That's just a few things. I played it in realistic mode and the good thing about it was trying to find your own route. That it is satellite map based helps - but it felt as you got close to terrain, that it feels too blocky for want of a better word. A real hiking trail is not quite like this. Some of the sections near the top were better. Transitions from climbing to hiking for the avatar felt too sudden - no warning or sense that you'd need to start climbing vs actually being able to hike so to speak. A very interesting and addictive game! The main advantages are a realistic Everest climbing experience based on satellite maps and accurate terrain reconstruction, as well as the ability to plan an ascent route, complete freedom in choosing the direction of travel! I recommend you to buy!
