One grey afternoon me and my friend the evil Ifrit walked in the snow engaging in an intellectual conversation about the surreal quality of Y2K 3D graphics. Very good game according to its release date

hard to get into, lots of soft locks, but once you get good its really great. Lots of replayability in this game

one of the oddest games ive played - but it is different, and enjoyable

Evolva is a fascinating relic from the turn of the millennium that still feels conceptually bold even decades after its original release. Developed by Computer Artworks and published by Interplay, the game attempts something unusually ambitious for its time: blending third-person shooter combat, light squad management, and a mutation-driven progression system into a single experience centered on adaptation rather than fixed character roles. While its age is immediately apparent in presentation and mechanics, the ideas at its core remain strikingly creative and continue to set it apart from more conventional action titles. The premise places you in command of four GenoHunters, genetically engineered soldiers sent to reclaim an alien planet overrun by hostile parasitic lifeforms. One of those games that could really use a remaster. I replayed it so many times, I couldn't count, graphics wise its plaine but there is something alien about it. You can cheese some of the enemies, tho' the later stages get harder. Mutating new skills is a unique system, as it not only lets you discover weapons, if you delay it, you get stronger options later, so you can solo play most of the game, then have the buffed team at the end. If anything, I wish there were more levels, because the last stage gives you the last weapon and then there is no gameplay to try and test your ultimate Genohunters, buffed or not.
