I never alt f4'd a horror game in my life before. This game is proper horror. That is all you need to know.

Enjoyed the game and the extra mode with changed item locations. It's nice to see a free indie horror game with consistent art direction and good atmosphere that leaves you wanting more instead of overstaying its welcome.

I think this game was okay

Exit: Echoes of Insanity is a short survival horror game that puts me in the role of a psychologist working late during his first days at the Archangel Center. The place is an old monastery that has been turned into a psychiatric facility, and after hearing a strange noise I decide to investigate. That quickly turns into a much bigger problem as I explore the building and start uncovering the secrets hidden inside it. I like the basic setup because the location gives the game a creepy atmosphere without needing a huge open world or complicated story. The exploration is probably the part I enjoyed most. I spend a lot of time moving through the facility, looking for useful objects, reading documents and trying to work out what has happened there. There are puzzles and hidden objects mixed into the exploration, so I am not just walking from one room to another waiting for something to happen. The building itself also works well as the main setting because the old monastery and psychiatric facility combination gives it a strange history that makes me want to keep checking the different rooms. i got an achievement for shocking an enemy, but he one shot killed me anyway. so is the achievement bugged? is the enemy collision bugged? does shocking that enemy even work? maybe im just supposed to run, but considering it appears right after you get the taser and a UI prompt says how to you use it on enemies, i figured the dev wants me to zap it right? i never found out since dying once sends you back to the beginning and i was already sighing. tbh the dying and starting over sucks and barely anyone ever likes that, but it's actually not the issue. throwing a one shot enemy at you when you barely have time to react right out of a bathroom stall? yeah thats the issue. maybe slow it down, coach, at least for the first guy.

It's interesting that the main character chooses a taser of all weapons to fight some otherworldly monster. I mean, me personally? I'd fight that ♥♥♥♥♥ with a lamp.
