I gave Fair strike a fair chance but it is sadly outdated and clunky for the modern age. Xbox controller did not work fully. I could not fire or rebind the fire button to right trigger. There is better helicopter games out there now a days. Leave this one where it belongs...in the past.

Fair Strike, despite its antiquated design, offers a compelling blend of entertainment and realism for those who relish the experience of piloting a helicopter through enemy territory alongside their unit while completing diverse objectives. The standout feature of this product lies in its robust customization options for helicopter units, allowing players to tailor both appearance and weapon loadouts. Additionally, the game presents a wide array of enemy types, each a source of satisfaction to obliterate using a combination of hellfire missiles and machine gun torrents. While it's worth noting that ammunition is limited and reserved for specific enemy units, Fair Strike balances this challenge by generously providing refueling stations. These stations not only replenish ammunition but also restore the health of your helicopter, ensuring that players can stay engaged in the action. If you have a penchant for attack helicopter simulators, whether they are older or more recent, or if you simply enjoy the appeal of straightforward yet entertaining video games that test your navigational and tactical skills, then purchasing Fair Strike is a decision well worth considering.

i would've given this a positive review, but it's impossible - aside from the helicopter variety (cockpit-wise especially), there's little change in movement to each of them, the wingman can be a hit-or-miss, and - shocker - you have NO knowledge something's locking onto you or targetting you outside of incoming gunfire tracers, even if there are sounds related to... some form of lock-on in the game files, and you have no idea how to tell damage while in the cockpit view. on this technical side of things - yes, you can easily mod your sounds in too, which can be nice as the weapons themselves aren't the most impressive, what's more impressive if that you can do it in a co-op, but before you'd think about it... the controls do not save, so don't get surprised when your favorite scheme of it gets reset to A and S for turning the next day. comparing this to Comanche 4 (haven't gotten to play as namesake in here yet), it feels exactly like a Russian attempt at parroting its best aspects, while Czechs did it better with Arma 3 - my recent fixation in this fever for sims.

Come to think of it. I was able to figure out how to play and finish this game properly as a kid even though I couldn't even understand that much English. Still feel unbelievable.
