About Fairy Lands: Rinka and the Fairy Gems

Weird gems are falling from the skies! Who will manage to do something about it? Maybe Rinka? Well, Wiseghaika surely hopes that somebody will do something.

Some fairies managed to learn how to use them as a weapon, so fights will be less painful. But not all of them have mastered this art. To be exact - neither of our six heroes can use those mysterious stones in big barrages. This... might give you some problems. But c'mon, since when were heroes stronger that their foes? (Please, don't say it in front of Skootis.)

Back to gems! Weird thing about them - when two of the same color collide, they go "ding" and release some weird spheres. Those spheres can absorb other gems! Red spheres, for example, absorb all red gems, they meet, but will stop after absorbing any gem that isn't red. The same happens with others, mostly-maybe! ('^' )

If gems will touch left side of your screen, you'll get hurt! Does it makes sense? What are "screens"? I heard abut them from Astro-fairies, but now they are extinct, so I can't ask them.

Gray gems are different and weird! They won't hurt you and most likely will disappear after touching that weird shield in front of you. It is almost like they're devoid of energy. But you shouldn't take them too easy - You can't destroy them as there are no gray gems in your arsenal, so, only way is either to wait while they will be destroyed by the barrier, or make some sphere touch them.

=about the Game Itself=

This game is made in the vein of old puzzle-like games, without real twist. Just simple active puzzle.Or maybe there is some twist?

For the first game made with this engine I think it is good job from my side, considering, that everything except music is made by sole silly me.

Now, there is a couple known bugs that can occur, but won't destroy game too much, or maybe they are finally gone - couldn't get them last beta-testing session. Game just... likes to be important to you, so please remember to put it on a pause, if you suddenly need to do something else, while playing. ('^' )

Please, tell us about bugs, we'll be trying to fix them.

Remember to save settings in OPTIONS, or else when you restart the game they'll go back to standard ones.

Markiza
Info-fairy - Young individual composed of only two things - information and desire to obtain new information.

Sersh
Tech-fairy - Lone wanderer, aimlessly pondering around Fairy Lands. Also he often loses his hand, so it is hidden in his pocket most of time.

Roxanna
Rag-fairy - Little silly girl with a big melodic dream. She is soft to the touch too.

Volia
Aqua-fairy - Self-confident boy made
of magical clay who possesses ability
to control water. He is water. He is sane.
He loves to eat.

Skootis
Ash-fairy - She will be the strongest, you hear me? This is for sure is not her writings! But it is truth!

Rinka
Barbarian-fairy - This girl surely loves marzipan cakes. And to crush stuff when cake goes not into her belly. And hey, she is important!

It's incredibly hard to recommend something sentimental, it's as if you're putting out a jam jar that has "Do not recommend" written on the label in big, bold letters. Jam jars that conceal feces as nutella hazelnut spread, bull semen taken from some farmer's old fridge labeled as coconut oil, and whatever your dirty consciousness could interpret as a true form of whichever product the label has. You can pull a practical one and give it to your friend, watching him carefully fiddle around, deciding whether or not to put two of his fingers in for a scoop of its colorful substancea, all of whichs is incredibly amusing, especially if you've stumbled upon it accidentally, and now you've completely passed the rensponsibility of what truly lies within the jar to another person, thinking of all possible situations, whether he'll choke and go "EEUGGH!!!" or have an unsuspecting combustion of internal fluids flowing out of his butt later, all examples are endearing to your visible schadenfreude as two horns magically project to contrast the evil grin you are giving. Your friend looks at you, cautiosly swiping the insides, puts it into his mouth while you freeze with anticipation, watching …

"Fairy Lands: Rinka and the Fairy Gems" is a Russian ClickTeam Fusion shovelware game that plays like a kind of Match-2 Tetris game. You fire blocks horizontally at an approaching block grid, matching any colour will pop any connected blocks of the same colour (you get the idea). You lose health if the blocks reach you as you fight through a variety of encounters (or don't, because this really is a terrible game). From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The artwork here is terrible, it's a blend of old retro pixel "art" used as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics, and some of the most amateurish MS-Paint style drawings I've ever hurt my eyes on. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget to arrange someone who can do graphics properly, or lack of talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result of these decisions. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right o…

So I was looking for a good doujin 2010-inspired game and stumbled upon this in a recommendation from a friend. Knowing him to be a big Touhou fan, I leaned into it and decided to give it a try. And yeah, this is basically a Touhou-inspired doujin project. While the gameplay itself is a match-two hybrid, the story pacing and even the design of the characters is half goofing around, half serious deep-dive lore (which I'm more than sure no one dived into). Jokes here are a special highlight. Those are hilariously one-dimensional and always circle back to one or two things. Music is on par with everything else here: a hot pot of what seems to be clueless composers that are trying their best. So why is this review positive then if everything is so bad? Well, I WAS looking for a doujin project, and this is really REALLY close to a found-footage forgotten game. So all the flaws are working for it perfectly. If you are looking for an old-school doujin game, I think you found one! P.S. Reading older reviews, it's amusing how all those complaints about paint-style art and music are actually a good thing now because of how tired people are of the same AI stuff over and over.

Look, it was a nice try to make a unique match-3 (but actually match-1) RPG fighting with decent graphics and seemingly hand-drawn characters/scenery but there's just one too many things wrong with it. - The game crashes every time I go out of the pause menu, meaning I mustn't pause it. - Using Markiza's special attack sometimes glitches the game; firing the gems just go past the stack and the game just goes on and on and I can't do a thing about it. - <(o)> Mode...is purposely meant to be a severe pain; I was LUCKY to have finished before having to leave for my actual part-time job because there were too many phases to the regular Gem Battle with Psycho-fairy Aumegidna. And that Dream Organizing Gadget sky fight with her was a @#$%ING PAIN; for one thing, shouldn't the attacks from a deactivated Power Gem be deactivated too instead of continuing? - The Steam Achievements meant for the Time Attack mode is the deal breaker, as the final fight's a Dream Organizing Gadget sky fight with Trash-fairy Putrida Cramy, which is even worse than <(o)> Mode because losing means going through all those other fights over and over again. Needless to say, I'm simply not good enough, to the point…
