"Fake World VR" is a rather badly made and pointless VR tech demo, and an objective failure as a game. What do you do in the game? It's an FPS. Hey, we love those, DooM Eternal was brilliant, so this is like DooM Eternal right? Haha, no, this garbage VR exclusive has you shooting low poly boxes and using a "unique" locomotion mechanism, and by "unique" the develope means "we ripped off the grappling hook mechanism used by hundreds of other games". And it's bad, just so bad. In terms of visuals, this features extremely low quality low poly minimalist (lazy!) 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging a completely delusional $15 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a dire…
