Weave at ever-increasing speeds in this freefall simulator of sorts, collecting achievements along the way. It's challenging, to be sure, but not for the right reasons: Clipping, sluggish horizontal velocity, and then pure guessing in late stages make for an unduly frustrating experience.
Steam has no shortage of cheap achievement games, of which Fall Down barely distinguishes itself from -- The title screen goes so far as to even advertise what you can unlock in its very own menu. And while there is nothing wrong with affordable micro-games, Fall Down doesn't pay much of any attention to the player experience.
Getting to the point, the game has numerous flaws:
❌ Bland, boring graphics. Likely a stock asset pack cobbled together ❌ Fails to communicate controls. Realizing that shift allowed sprinting and high speed dodge was a game changer ❌ Mouse loses focus, especially on dual monitors, causing all kinds of problems ❌ Clipping on the starting platform. You have to get enough velocity to clear it, or jump ❌ Invisible hitbox. Probably the worst offender, you'll die repeatedly simply because you don't know how close you can skirt the obstacles on crowded stages. V…

Fall Down is a, well, I guess the kindest way to describe this is as a first person 3D platformer, but really, it's a low poly minimalist "falling" simulator where your objective is to jump off a ledge and fall to the target, steering yourself as you fall. That's all there is to it. Flappy Bird is more sophisticated. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The c…

Fall Down is a minimalist arcade platformer that turns a very simple idea into a surprisingly stressful reflex-based challenge. Developed and published by Kadir Demiroğlu, the game strips away nearly every unnecessary feature and focuses entirely on one core mechanic: falling downward through dangerous obstacle-filled stages while trying to survive long enough to reach the bottom safely. At first glance, it appears extremely basic, both visually and mechanically, but the game quickly reveals itself to be a difficult reaction-driven experience built around concentration, timing, and repeated failure. It is the kind of indie title that fully embraces old-school arcade philosophy where improvement comes through persistence and practice rather than tutorials or progression systems. The central gameplay concept is straightforward. Players control a falling character who continuously descends through narrow spaces and dangerous obstacles while movement speed gradually increases over time. The objective is simple in theory, but the increasing speed transforms even basic obstacle avoidance into a tense challenge that demands fast reactions and precise movement. Early stages introduce the …

Horrendous game, heavy clipping issues, awful movement mechanics. "Achivements" are doubled for some friggin reason. Do not buy, do not. Im on a quest of at least trying every game in my library, so dont judge me :D (i probably got it through some sort of bundle)
