"Fear of Dark" is a basic Unity asset flip that the developer gave up on trying to flog, presumably after failing to even recover the money they paid to the Russian review farm for all the fake reviews. Yeah, we know when developers do this. It's absolutely not okay. This is your usual lazy Unity asset flip, a horror jumpscare game. Wander around a Unity forest asset pack and get jumpscared, that's all there is to it. I wonder why it failed. All the Russians who reviewed this said it was great! The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $4 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure.
