The English translation is hilariously silly, so if you're like me and play these kinds of games while not taking anything seriously and finding them silly, then this one is pretty great. also just rough translation aside it's pretty fun.

For the fans of games like Ib , Witches House ,Pocket Mirror - This games is an absolute gem! The whole game feels so similar to Ib , yet it is such a unique game on its own. And the price is insanely cheap for how good this game is! Please please buy it, the creator deserves so much support!

[h2]It's okay, but just okay[/h2] Either coffin of ashes had the same artist, or feather of praying and coffin of ashes both used sprites from the same asset pack, this isn't a criticism, just something I noticed, there's no shame in using assets if you lack the skills necessary for certain things, I just wanted to mention that at the top because it was very noticeable to me having played coffin of ashes right before this. The translation is abysmal, but for the most part everything can be understood, or you can figure out what they're trying to say, an email was provided to send details about mistranslations to, this is a game from 2018, if the translation was gonna be fixed I think it would've been by now. The story, well, it's not winning any awards that's for sure, but it's fine, I think the execution of it is what really falls flat for me, the way things are presented just feels like it's hitting it's plot points, but maybe some of that is down to the poor translation, I can try to give the benefit of the doubt, but it just feels like something I've seen done time and time again, and better, I can suspend my disbelief for the monsters and the little pocket world, but real p…

I love dubiously translated games.

I really liked this game. The puzzles were unique and interesting, especially since rpgmaker puzzles can easily become repetitive. The story is also moving and rewarding as well as realistic instead of optimistic which is a nice change from the good endings always being perfect in these sorts of game. The translation isn't perfect but it is still understandable. It's just overall a great rpgmaker horror game. I highly recommend it.

For the price it's pretty good. It'll keep you entertained for a night or two. If you like these kinds of games you'll like this one. It's got an interesting enough story to keep you invested, and the characters are likable. Got a few good spooks here and there, along with some legitimate skill checks and fun puzzles. Though some of the puzzles do get kind of "guess and check" feeling, it didn't bother me much. There are also quite a few "how was i supposed to know that!?" deaths that can feel rather unfair... But its still a pretty fun game that can be beat in 2-3 hours. It's worth noting that the English translation is really bad. Words are spelled wrong all the time and most sentences are filled with grammatical errors. It'd be understandable for some grammatical errors occasionally, but it starts to feel just lazy, and it can really interfere with your immersion. Some lines are still straight up in Chinese. Some words are spelled wrong, then spelled correctly later on. They clearly did not put much time into checking the English translation.
