File Destined is a psychological thriller game developed with Unreal Engine 5. While you are getting a chill down your spine with the impressive story and realistic locations, you will also witness the mystery behind Oliver's story.
Can this last case of Oliver, all be just a small part of a bigger picture? Gather clues, unravel the mystery behind the case and uncover the truth.
In the end, the truth may be quite disturbing and different than what you expected.
As you are trying to find clues and figure out who is responsible of one of the most close watched murder cases of the country, you will encounter unexpected dangers when least expected.
Take your time investigating the crime scene as each thing you find might lead you to the truth you are seeking for.
During your mission, be very careful not to spend too much time in in darkness, because in darkness may reside evil spirits out of this world.
You will have to look through and closely examine the objects in the map to see if they carry any crucial information about the case.
In the meanwhile, you will try to survive in a hostile dark environment with only a lighter in your hands as a light source. The lighter has a real life mechanics, so be careful using it, or else you will be left in dark.
Map based puzzles will give you access to the other parts of the map. You will need to solve them carefully in order to be able achieve your task.

A good one for players looking for a fun scary game for the halloween season or looking to prank a friend who doesn't do well with horror games. It took me about an hour to play through this one, it's got stuff in it that can be super interesting but it does too much too quickly and doesn't allow the player to get immersed in the setting or the story. From the beginning it's got jumpscares. It's got potential. The story and script could use some work to really flesh out the game and characters but it gets the job done in expressing why you're this cop exploring this abandoned hospital. I really enjoyed the method in transporting you to different locations and the voice acting is pretty good for what seems to be an indie horror game. I really liked the end credits showing the team members which was charming and I can tell based off of that and the steam achievements that this was a goofy group doing it for the fun of it. The zoom in method feels like a red herring mechanic as you don't really need to examine things so closely. I liked the lighter, so many times I turned too fast and made it go out :D If you're looking for real depth and gripping story and actual frightening moment…

The following is my brief review/preview of File Destined. I did receive this product for free to stream on Twitch. Pros: AMAZING sound design Interactive Story Long paced and quick jumpscares Great options menu (important for seperating music/scares/sound effects for mixing) Fantastic quality of JumpScares Great sense of humor Voice acting carried emotions Unique Premise Achievements appropriately named Puzzle Designs Honestly, the credits were amazing (you'll see it) Cons: Some issues with lighter usage (could have been my mouse, but there is another button and remaping available) Lighting is a bit low, which makes dependency on the lighter more important (ample amounts of fuel available) Game Length - I was able to complete within 2 hours I would want more stories like this/more chapters It is a jumpscare/psychological walking game but, much like a jelly filled doughnut, it is bursting with flavor.
