FireRun - 逃生門

"FireRun - 逃生門" is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. However, there's a noticable difference in this experimental game in that the 2D platformer sections are plastered onto a 3D backdrop... this might seem clever, but it doesn't really change the fact this is a very low quality 2D minimalist platformer that's just presented differently. Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. The language of bad games is universal. The graphics aren't great, low quality stuff for the 3d backdrops and even worse for the 2D game areas. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cos…
