Story
Suoh Shirahane has passed Yuzuriha Yatsushiro's test to become the president of the Council of Nicaea, and the key to the final mystery is within her grasp—the key that will shed light on the disappearance of her beloved Amitié partner, Mayuri Kohsaka.
But as the cold of winter draws in on the isolated Saint Angraecum Academy, it brings with it ever greater trials and tribulations. Suoh meets these challenges head-on, but there is only so much she can do alone. Beneath heavy clouds and swirling snowstorms, she will need the help of all her friends to face her heartache and trauma.

i don’t even know how to put into words how much i loved this series. what started as a slow character driven visual novel turned into one of my favorite stories ever. every game kept building on the last until the grand finale paid everything off perfectly. the cast is genuinely the heart of flowers. mayuri is one of my favorite characters in any visual novel and yatsushiro komikado suoh erika and takasaki all felt so well written that saying goodbye to them actually hurt. the soundtrack is beautiful the artwork is gorgeous and the atmosphere is unlike anything i’ve experienced. every emotional scene landed exactly the way it was supposed to. if you’re willing to take your time with it flowers rewards you with one of the most memorable casts and one of the most satisfying conclusions i’ve read.
it's such a satisfying ending to flowers, hiver also has one of my favorite bad endings in this entire series

it really is so trite, but all i can think of is the saying: 'don't cry because it's over, but smile because it happened.' not a flawless story, but it provided such a lovely finale to a series i'll adore forever.
Definitely my favorite out of the four volumes.
