Flying Hero VR

Played with Vive Wands, You fly forward the handrocket with the trigger, handle button gives an almost unperceprible boost?, up on the trackpad is "accept" when you are close to a mission giver, and to shoot lasers out your rockets during specific missions. (lasers did no sound for me) Flying around the city was pretty fun, but that was about it. The game is set in a "biggish" city, there isnt much movement or life in it aside from some cars that run on a set path. In around the city there are stars, cats that give you missions, and lostkittys. The cats that give you missions where: find x of y thing, "shoot" unicorns (lasers make no sound), or a time trial race; those are the 3 missions i got. Depending on how you fare on the mission, you can get 1-3 stars. Then you can find lost kitties each 4 cats you find you get a star... You also encounter "transparent/locked" mission giving cats, to unlock those you need to get stars... so the more stars you get the more missions around the city you can find. There are some interesting parts around the city... but there is nothing to do there. feels like they intended to add a ton of more content, but didnt, and left an empty map (…

This game really should be early access. I can't blame anything specific because I can fly and complete challenges and earn money and buy upgrades BUT My biggest issues with the game is that's essentially it. I think you have a lazer gun in your hand but You never use it for anything and there's zero game play besides flying around a city comprised of about 50 buildings? There's large stationary crabs and a sunken Atlantis ruin but there's just nothing to do but fly around them mindlessly. To be frank if I could still refund this I probably would have, I thought they would have added way more to the game by now. TLDR: Fun to fly around in but really nothing else to do. I'd almost recommend it on sale but the controls don't feel good. They feel functional, not fun to use.

It's ok but the issue is that in order to make it enjoyable you need the laser rocket fully upgraded to have fun navigating the map. I spent the first hour trying to find every cat that I could so I can obtain bonus points and complete a few missions to raise enough money to buy new rockets and do upgrades. Even after maxing out my laser rocket and upgrading the others, the game didn't offer enough variety to keep me interested. I was kind of forcing myself to continue playing hoping something more interesting would come about but I was kind of disappointed. It's definitely cool to fly around with a rocket and the controls are pretty solid. The issue is that the game doesn't offer what most of us would call thrill seeking or an action pack experience. It's just a nice lighthearted game with great potential to be something more engaging. I played it on the HP Reverb G2 WMR which worked flawless. I'll recommend it because it has potential but this is not an action pack experience you may be seeking. It's a fun Kirby Air Ride variant in VR. If you enjoyed Kirby's timed challenges where you race to find and collect objects, fly through rings, or shoot targets, you can have some fun here.
