Take command of a platoon of Astral Troopers! You’re a recent graduate from the Astral College and strike officer training, you have just been posted to the Astral Corps’ Levantine Regiment, Hoplites troop, and been given command of the Fifth Platoon. You must prove your professional competence to your fellow officers to qualify as a strike officer, while fighting a rebel army and combatting a deadly plague on a hostile planet.

It's entirely text-based, without graphics or sound effects, and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
As a newly-minted sublieutenant, you and your platoon are caught in the middle of fierce combat in the dry, rocky highlands of the planet Cerberus. You know that your forces are up against the rebel leader, Major Zhang: notorious across the galaxy as a formidable enemy. Meanwhile, a deadly plague has broken out on Cerberus and is spreading quickly. The Astral Corps has a vaccine en route from another star system, but the local population has to be convinced to accept the vaccine when it arrives.
Will you be able to put down the rebellion? Will the locals accept your bid to ensure their safety? When you find yourself separated from the rest of the Hoplite platoons and harried by rebel forces, how will you survive in the Cerberan landscape?

- Hunt down rebels, infiltrating and destroying their base, or use diplomacy to broker with them peacefully.
- Face the notorious Major Zhang, holding his life and the rebels’ fate in your hands.
- Crush the rebel presence on Cerberus, or join their cause and betray the Astral Corps’ mission.
- Convince the colonists to accept the Astral Corps vaccine, or leave the colonists of Free Lhasa of their fate.

The game is far too short and suddenly ends, with a development totally in contradiction to the decision and the text just written on the previous segment. I don't know what happened in the making of this game book, but it's been the worst I've ever purchased, which is really sad, as it had great potential.5 found this helpful
A nice quick story with a good amount of options, and engaging cast. The 2 main story lines fit quiet well together, with most ending/solutions to the issues being satisfying, and making scene. Be a soldier, rebel, humanitarian, a monster, or a mix of all 4. There all options, leaving good replay ability. Again, this is a short story, but that's not a fault, being more then able to convey a thrilling story. If your looking for a quick read with a nice straight forward story, I'd say get it.3 found this helpful
The game end suddenly and most of your minor choices does not matter the start of the game was fine but it felt like my choices did not matter that much I can't reccomend this to anyone just get another game from Choice Of Games2 found this helpful
If you enjoy choose-your-own adventure books and great tactical challenges you'll love this game. This reminds me of the combat choice games made by Col. John Antal of Gearbox Software fame. Check this out.2 found this helpful
I wish I could recommend it, I really do, but it just has too many issues. It gives the sci-fi military feel, but that's where my praise ends. I went through my playthrough trying to peacefully help the civilians while also encouraging diplomacy and peace between the Astral force and the rebels, and with every choice the game acted like I succeeded and then ignored my accomplishment on the next page. The story fails to characterize any groups past a surface level- there is no actual motivation for the rebellion, or if there is one it's buried so deep that you will almost certainly not learn of it on an average playthrough. On the other hand, the Terran military is characterized as heavy-handed and oppressive but again with zero actual motivations besides seemingly genuine humanitarian aid. The story sets you up to question the nature of the conflict but then fails to answer any of those questions. Rebellions always have a reason, but here the rebels devolve into little more than terrorists attacking a genuine humanitarian aid mission [spoiler] (which the rebel general directly stated they would not interfere with, by the way); [/spoiler] that the rebels themselves also agree is nec…
