Letters from the War

It's a decent game to get a sense of what you would do if you had to censor wartime letters from soldiers. Without the guide someone made for it it would be rather difficult to get all the achievements in a reasonable timeframe.

AI slop is a disgusting insult to gamers everywhere. What do you do in the game? This ripoff of "Papers, Please!" has you censoring letters instead of approving incoming travelers, and comes across as much worse than "Papers, Please!", not least because of all the garbage AI slop. So, it's hard to describe this as a game, the focus of the product is more like that of an e-book/visual novel, there's only minor, shallow and uninteresting gameplay elements. The crux of this is to push some very low quality, badly done fan-fiction tier writing, where we see once more a developer fail to understand the importance of "Show, don't tell", and for whatever reason, weren't able to convey their narrative through gameplay, giving us endl…

Pretty simple game, definitely takes inspiration from papers please. It may just be an artistic choice but the fact the employer's face is borderline censored feels like its supposed to mean something. Fun 15 minute game to get at least two endings. Though it abruptly ends once you achieve them, making you start all over again with no way to skip the intro.

You can left-click and you can right-click to (un)censor things, thats it. It is free so its not like you loose anything.
