I'm torn on this one. I do like the concept and the overall setup. However, the game is far too basic to be considered a "1.0" product at this point. Controls are horrid, fighting of any kind feels like a completely random clicking process. Animations of key activities are so basic that they look like something from 1999. I understand that the game is created by a small development team, which is part of why I'm torn. On the other hand, I play almost exclusively Early Access games, and many from small (often solo) developers. My expectations are in line with that worldview. However, this game doesn't compare favorably with the majority of those. And it's not even in the ballpark of a masterpiece like Vein, which itself had a two person development crew until just a couple of months ago.4 found this helpful
It's 2026 and we can't even change the movement keys. I think the developers have neglected people with disabilities. How crazy that we can't change them. I had to get a refund because i just couldn't cope with set key layout. Cmon Devs you can do better.4 found this helpful
This is a great laugh - a good balance between crafting and action and always pleasing to look at. The boat mechanics are particularly nice and the various challenges are doable without being to easy. Excellent value for money - nice one guys3 found this helpful
Fun pirate game. Graphics aren't hyper-realistic, but the play is nice. Not sure what the reviews were talking about with regards to stressing out systems.. i5-11600k, 32Gb DDR4-3200, RTX 4070ti Super and its running great, no stress at all, 100+ FPS. It gets deeper the longer you play, with plenty of things to strive for. Of course, it takes a little getting used to, but that's with any game. Enjoying it so far.. While I hesitate to compare games directly, it's rather obvious the direct competitor is Windrose.. and while the graphics are better in Windrose, this is still very playable and fun.. Definitely worth the price.1 found this helpful
