Fragments (2017)

Fragments is a VR exclusive low poly first person "adventure" where you explore a low poly world. There's an exploration mode and a main game mode where you need to collect stuff within a time limit. There's also a PvP mode (obviously, no players, it's not good enough to attract gamers). It's a pretty mediocre experience and seems more like a project/demo than a serious attempt to make a video game. There's no English translation for the game, but that's ok. It turns out, the language of bad games is universal. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. Игра 'Fragments' захватывает с первых минут благодаря уникальному сочетанию детективной истории и механик дополненной реальности. Сюжет, рассказывающий о расследовании сложных преступлений, моментально вовлекает и заставляет почувствовать себя настоящим детективом. Сканирование объектов в реальном мире, анализ улик и допрос виртуальных персонажей - все это создает невероятно иммерсивный опыт. Графика и звуковое сопровождение выполнены на высоком уровне, добавляя атмосферности происходящему. Отдельно стоит отметить проработанных персонажей, каждый из которых имеет свою историю и мотивы. Головоломки и дедуктивные задачи достаточно сложны, чтобы бросить вызов, но при этом вполне решаемы. Единственным минусом можно назвать некоторую зависимость от освещения и производительности камеры устройства, что может усложнить игровой процесс в определенных условиях. В целом, 'Fragments' - это инновационная и захватывающая игра, которая определенно заслуживает внимания всех любителей детективных историй и AR-технологий.
