If you're looking for that butthole clenching feeling when you narrowly escape swarms of enemies (Geometry wars) in VR, then you've come to the right place. I've tried a couple other VR games like "Xortex" (The Lab) and "MSI Electric City: Core Assault" however, they don't seem to translate the formula very well due to clumsy single handed control schemes. Shatter Everything however has a unique two handed control scheme where you control your ship at the tip of a rod with your left hand and control the direction of attack with a similar rod held by your right. It sounds weird but it works really well. Just like Geometry wars; this game quickly gets challenging as you'll find yourself out of slow motion, desperately looking for a 'fire' power up to clean up the dozens of super aggressive enemies only a few minutes in. Pros: - Wide variety of balanced enemies / powerups - Unique two-handed control scheme - Weighty power-ups thanks to responsive force feedback - Works well in seated mode thanks to the 'rods' that control the ship/attack direction Cons: - Lackluster graphics / assets (Missing that super neon feel from Geometry wars) - Could use a couple more game modes for more r…

2 Minute Video Review → https://youtu.be/yxJqhWhLvkc Shatter Everything is a VR twin-stick arcade shooter somewhat similar to Geometry Wars. The goal of the game is to shoot down all of the geometry objects and survive as long as you can while fending them off. The controls are unique and surprisingly intuitive. Imagine each of your motion controllers having long sticks at the end, and at the end of those sticks are your control points for moving your orb and the direction you want to fire. It’s a little tricky to describe verbally, but once you start playing you’ll instantly get how it works. The controls are very well designed. As you play you’ll pickup various weapons with unique properties. And when your weapon changes, the preview cone changes as well so you quickly get an understanding of how your weapon has changed. The game is very simple, just survive for as long as you can and try to earn a high score. So the action is fun, but the gameplay is currently somewhat shallow. I received this for free to review, but for the asking price of $10 I think it’s a good value if you enjoy these types of twin-stick shooter games. If you enjoyed Xortex from The Lab, then I think yo…

We received this key for review and this did not alter our opinion in the least. We thought this game was very well done. It gave us a feeling of a old arcade style video game set in a VR world. That is not a bad thing. I wish there were more of these type of games on steam. Its a fast paced game with a polished feel. To see our full review please visit https://youtu.be/-pjxqRVXYfw definitely a recommend.
