Short, sweet, and even without any dialog it delivers a nice story

In the veign of Flashback on the almighty Amiga, here comes Full Void, and even though I am not a fan of dark and eerie stories told, I quite enjoyed the breathtaking pixel art, animations and sound design, and the finer more emotional undertones, even though they were all so sad. To make up for this, good triumped over evil at end of the game, after three and a half hours of jumping, climbing, struggling and puzzling. Now I am leftf just very impressed with how the game made me feel. It's such a mix of scares and danger, and the struggle to win felt quite real. Narrowly escaping unscathed made me feel well enough in control, even though there were three or four situations where I was stumped for a few minutes before I figured out how to progress. The sense of adventure is in here, and it made this game great fun, even though I was struggling with the dark and cruel aspects of the world the game portrays. As a fan of science fiction, I was eating this up.

Full Void is a fairly short, but pretty amazing game with truly awesome artwork that delivers a depressing dark atmosphere. I really like the fact that the game manages to tell its entire story by just letting you playing the game, i.e. there is not a single line of dialogue and not a single note in the game, not even a tutorial or anything -- the game is pretty much always self-explanatory. The puzzles are all fairly simple and the platforming is also pretty fair, however, it is one of those games where the dominant metric is deaths per minute: the game did not tell me at the end how many times I've died, but I'm pretty sure that it must have been over a hundred times, so you have to be mentally prepared for the fact that you are going to die constantly here, because everything in this game is out to kill you.

The game allows you to return to the atmosphere of games like Flashback or Another World, where the style is perfectly maintained. Excellent pixel art, smooth animations, and pleasant physics. Good sound design. The game is not long, but it is enjoyable, and there are few games like it.
