Void Future: Hacking Protocol

Interesting game. It looks good. The hacking mechanics are somewhat fun and the moving around in first person definitely added to the experience. Faults : It doesn't save whenever you want and the saving is not as good as it should be. It is pretty obscure on your objectives especially in side missions. I really like the game, the terminal feels incredible. The graphics look great and I am happy it works fine on my 21:9 display. Can't wait to play more!

Well it's a short puzzle game with some minimal hacking but done correctly. I love games where you have to use console, here it's extremally simple with only few commands no real scripts or game against time, but it is done well, story is fun, gameplay is fun and overall for the price the game is totally worth it EDIT: I wish it was longer but devs did amazing work with what they had, game provides a peak into what I wished for in cyberpunk, real netrunner rp not just solo with hacking skills. I just wish the game was longer and provided more side gigs and hardware. What's Bad: - economy is I think broken or someone filled it with one 0 extra. We get so much money that whenever there is an option to upgrade our laptop you can just buy all the best components without a sweat. Seeing that there were cheaper options with progression I assume that was a mistake with how much we get from missions and crates, - TAB in console should only fill one word/command at a time, as it stands it's almost useless as it fills entire line so if you want to connect, scan, crack etc. You have to put entire command manually and then paste the path making tab useless except ls and cat (for me als…

First impressions are really positive. As someone who loves Mr. Robot and anything centered around hacking, this one hits the spot. It's engaging and at times even stressfull hahahha. Easy to get pulled into the experience right from the start. I'm still early in my playthrough but it seems definitely be worth it. Recommended if you're into hacking, cyberpunk aesthetics, and story-driven games. Hack away fellow white hats, grey hats and black hats hahahhaha

Maybe my brain is too small for this kind of game but I found the hacking stuff to be ridiculously confusing and the tutorial explanation did not help me to understand it. I found myself just frustrated and annoyed after a half hour and turned it off. I won't be booting it back up.

Good idea. Nice graphics. Hacking model ok, similar to that in Uplink or Hacknet. As for the stealth sections ... The enemy's cone of vision is inconsistent. Some times you can crouch behind cover and they still notice you from the second end of the street, instantly going agro. Other times, you can stand behind their back and they won't have a clue. Honestly, if I would like to play a fps with hacking, I would pick up Deus Ex. If I wanted to do stealth with environmental hacking, I would play Watchdogs. What I wouldn't choose is playing this game. Finally i got annoyed and returned it.
