I'm playing Steam games in alphabetical order, you can watch my review here: https://youtu.be/Nw8f6kqNUp8 tl;dr A great twin-stick shooter in a similar style to Geometry Wars. Great soundtrack and SFX, visuals are excellent but a bit busy at times. Mechanics are solid, but slightly under-utilised. I recommend picking this up when it's on sale.32 found this helpful

#Funtime, developed by OneGuyGames and published by The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild alongside the developer, is a neon-drenched twin-stick shooter that fuses arcade intensity with a distinctive color-based combat mechanic. At first glance, it appears to follow the familiar structure of arena shooters: control a small ship, survive relentless waves of enemies, and chase high scores. However, beneath that straightforward foundation lies a layered system built around color swapping, chain reactions, and score optimization that gives the game its unique identity. Rather than relying solely on reflexes and firepower, #Funtime challenges players to think about positioning, timing, and color coordination in the midst of chaos. The central mechanic revolves around switching the color of your ship to interact strategically with enemies and environmental elements. Enemies and projectiles appear in various hues, and matching or contrasting colors at the right moment can significantly impact combat flow. This system transforms encounters into more than simple shooting galleries. Players are rewarded for clearing enemies in color-coordinated chains, maximizing multipliers, and managing the b…
Disappointing to not see any difficulty options here. I'm an ancient relic so my reflexes aren't what they used to be, and I keep getting spawned on which is irritating. Yeah, it's a skill issue, but a speed slider wouldn't ruin the experience for fossils like myself
I'll be honest: while this game does make for a "fun time", it doesn't live up to its name as much as the title would suggest. But before I get into the problems with it, I want to point out the positives. First of all, the twin-stick shooter gameplay feels good and smooth to play. The color-switching mechanic is a neat thing that adds to it, not too unique in my opinion but the ability to destroy enemies of the same color with it is pretty satisfying. The scoring mechanic is simple, in which certain pickups boost your score multiplier, but it's far from boring. I very much appreciate that there are a fair amount of levels in the campaign and different arcade modes and the leaderboards are a good inclusion as well. So this game does have a good amount of replay value and is some decent fun. The art style and visuals are both rather pleasing to look at. The problem with it is that certain levels in the Challenge Mode campaign can be immensely frustrating and they even feel unbalanced. Due to the game's visuals, as pleasing as they are, and the way the game itself is designed, it's extremely common to bump into enemies you won't notice until it's too late, resulting in your sco…
I really appreciate the things that set this apart from an over-saturated genera. The player is FAST, and the color matching keeps you on your toes, but usually, is not required. Great, fun/cheerfull music. The dev is nice, cares about his players. Good work.
