Gacha Capsule Shop Simulator - Akihabara

Well, I played for an hour but despite claiming to have Full Controller Support, this game is not fit for controller at this time as it consistently fails to recognise controller inputs or just plain stops working resulting in having to switch to mouse & then sometimes having to reset my controller to get it working again. Other than that, the game is quite enjoyable if you ignore the odd one or two glitches & minor frame rate issues here & there.. So for the moment & mainly because the controller issues I can't recommend this game, maybe if the controller support is fixed & fully functional I might come back to the game, but for now, it has to be a refund as without Full controller support it's unplayable for me, sorry...

This is THE sim game. It's super addicting and i just really love the whole vibe of it, especially after visiting Japan recently it makes me feel like i'm back and i love it. There's lots of customization and for early access has so much content!

Pros: -Really fun gameplay loop -Backdrop is the same as every other shop sim... but the set dressing allows it to be unique and stand out, it's a really pretty skyline and backdrop. -Music is fun and doesn't distract from the game -Robot fight club is a fun concept Room for improvement (These could pros or cons depending on your preferences) -Robot fight club, let us upgrade our shop to host matches in a secret backroom/basement instead of being forced to enter a load screen every day. Multiple loads screens per day is annoying. -Let us interact with more cats more often (Rewards for petting cats are timed nicely... but I want to pet all the cats when ever they come up to me, not get met with you a general you must wait to pet cat again -The announcer for the rail station is significantly louder then anything else in the game -More variance in NPC attires, I feel like after the first day I saw every model in the game Cons: I am only 4ish hours in, so no cons at this time. Game is 100% serviceable and more importantly... fun (If you enjoy shop simulator games). It's not the best title in the genre... but…

Achievements are broken, some cannot be obtained. Don't recommend until this is fixed.

Where a lot of Shop sims fail, is coming up with a simple concept using cheap asset flips and say “here’s a game!” Tcg card shop sim being the most prominent example, though I feel as though most shop sims fall in to this category. This is not a cheap asset flip, it’s actually a game that’s getting built as time goes on. It is actively improving with its community’s input. And I love seeing that. Another thing I like is the mods don’t replace assets they instead add on to the game as special packs, which goes to show that the developers understand that “modders gonna mod“ And having a potentially endless pool of ad on mods is an exciting concept. I am both delighted and encouraged by what I’ve experienced so far! I want to see this game flesh out more content as well as evolve in to something unique.
