About Galactic Tower Defense
Galactic Tower Defense has a different take on the Tower Defense genre. Place towers anywhere to gain a strategic advantage. Choose multiple tower upgrades to maximize your offensive or defensive capabilities. Navigate the battlefield with your drone and become the commander that your adversary's fear.
The year is 2242, you are a new hire in one of the more popular and growing private military companies, the Galactic Tower Defense Group. Your company has been hired to conduct operations that the interplanetary Navy (I.N.) cannot or will not partake in.
(R. M. E. C) Rare Metal Extraction Companies are harassing and hindering each other’s efforts to compete for prime mining locations across several planets. Some of the, bigger, and more lucrative mining companies, have even begun enlisting the services of the Nozama Corporation. Like us, the Nozama Corporation is a private military company, however their predatory and ruthless approach to ensuring client satisfaction, has been murderous to say the least. Mining companies on the losing end of these so called “Greed Wars”, sought help from the (I.N.) Interplanetary Navy, who are spread too thin across the vast ocean of space. This is where we, you come in. Like the I.N. we are also spread thin, but the money was too good to pass up! Oh, and of course we are concerned about the well-being of those civilians.

I've been watching Prefix Wiz create this game on Twitch for a few months, so it was awesome to finally play it for myself. And I have to say, I'm impressed! The gameplay is like most other tower defense games, but what I love about it is that you have to buy resources and upgrades before you start a game. Instead of buying towers in the middle of the game, you'll have to buy them (along with many other things) before the match starts with credits you earn from completing missions. It's definitely one of the more unique Tower Defense games I've played, and I love it!2 found this helpful
This game was given as a gift by a friend. Honestly it has some potential. I can see where the game is going, but in its current state there is only 1 playable mission. Having said that, I would like to see where this game goes! Hopefully development continues!1 found this helpful
Wasn't worth the $0.99 I paid for it. At what point does a game stop being "Early Access"? It's been out for 5 years. I didn't get it. I couldn't see what was going on. I couldn't get the weapons, I thought I was paying to research. Maybe I was just doing it wrong but it was mostly the lack of vision of the whole grid which bugged me. It's a tower defense game, I don't want to spend a day trying to figure it out. I want to mindlessly blow stuff up with weapons I can upgrade on a path I can see and possibly alter and/or interfere with. The concept is pretty basic. Why is it so hard to find a good one? I must have been lucky on the first ones I was able to play because I haven't seen that many of equal value lately. It could be because I'm going thru the $0.99 section of steam. What can I say? I'm cheap.
This is the most difficult yet rewarding game experience a gamer in 2020 could ask for. The ratio to skill and intelligence to effectiveness and battles won is immense. You need a very high IQ and a basic understanding of Theoretical Physics to maybe comprehend the massive scale of what is really going on in this game. Not to mention the lore, I was so immersed in the rich story unfolding as the game progressed. I laughed, I cried, I got mad, I got invested, and I got my heart BROKEN. This story combined with the near flawless and ground breaking game mechanics leaves me with nothing but joy and enjoyment in my heart. I know anyone who plays this game would agree with me.
