This is a tower defense with no unique solution. This is a tower defense where you have to try and embrace new strategies.
Concept is simple: You have waves of multiple incoming "enemies" that must be defended against. Overall whether you will succeed or not will depend on your ability to strategically place and construct towers in the path of attacking enemies. You have basic towers and tons of (over 60) modules to insert and modify tower performance. In this TD game you can build anything with our system. YOU can build towers that can cast poison, freeze, confuse enemies, stun, turn them around, weaken them. And moreover you will have to try it like in some other TD games, the game is built so there is no ultimate strategy. In Planet Modular you build generic towers which become specialised once improved in game by adding modules. Modules must be either bought or earned through winning maps. The concept is very nice, though levels become a breeze once more powerful combinations of modules are discovered. New combinations may either be discovered through trial and error, or by buying in the store. But this is a smartphone port, and it shows. The main currency to buy modules or new combinations are purple cristals, which are earned on smartphone by watching adverts. On PC they are limited to what you can earn beating a level for the first time. Targeting enemies has been deleted from the PC port, towers do not target enemies near the exit. English translation is difficult to understant. Achievements are broken. Screen resolutions are limited. Difficulty is extreme then it becomes too easy. You can grind only one resource out of three. Progression needs balancing. There is not Exit button, you need to hit Alt+F4 to stop it. In a nutshell, the concept is excellent, but the realization is very lacking.6 found this helpful
Too hard. I really like Modular TD and still play it. This has many units that fire an EMP pulse that disables your towers and I can't figure out how to defeat it. I've played this for ten hours. I defeated level six with one star and can't get through level 7. So far, I don't enjoy it. I am no longer going to play it unless someone can tell me what I need to do to make it challenging instead of impossible..1 found this helpful
A great TD game,you have to do some grinding to get modules and upgrades but thats half the fun. I loved it1 found this helpful

i cant figure out how to get more crystals to upgrade and buy stuff. nice game but... im at an impass wow... much much later. i guess its called grind or grinding im getting closer about once a month i get to a new part of the game. very fun when that happens. thumbs up for now...
Bit grindy, but then you can make progress and play as you wish. Many TD's don't let you improve the towers so those games are transformed into puzzle games. Place the towers as I demand you to do else you won't beat the game. I hate that kind of attitude and it isn't in this game. Counterpart is you need to grind a bit :-) I love it!!
