Game For Anna

A Game for Anna is a rather strange experience. It’s weird, cryptic, and unsettling, but that’s exactly what drew me to it. I believe the game works well as a proof of concept. The final riddle is rather complex, but that only adds to the game’s mysterious and cryptic nature. The links to social media and the fourth-wall break at the end, which advertises the developer’s new game, do weaken the atmosphere slightly. They take away a bit from the feeling that this is a game “not meant for you.” However, it’s not enough to make the experience unplayable. The final question that remains is: who is Anna?

3.8 I'm gunna be more lenient and give this a yes recommendation but it's a rather loose one. I don't fully recommend it but it's creative in and of itself which I will give it points for. It is at it's core more of an advertisement and setup I believe of things towards the 'main' game which is "Darkness Under My Bed", On it's own not much of this really makes sense (I hope at least as I am yet to play DUMB)

The other game like this was kinda cool. it wasnt too complicated but you had to think a bit, and it was very evocative. this one from my understanding involves a bunch of moon logic easter eggs to actually beat so... yeah... its less fun and less ok to make a game with photos around your house of broken toys with fake blood on them if you're gonna make me do some 5d ♥♥♥♥ man. but i get it, i am dumb. i just dont really recommend this since there are more fun weird esoteric things to play that wont be that demanding a play for not much payoff.

Even though it's free, I still wouldn't recommend Game For Anna. It's too short, and not scary at all. The average playthrough is 7 minutes, and there aren't enough endings to justify this short length.
