This game goes in the "WTF did I just play" category, and not in a good way either. Sure, Game Tycoon 1.5 is over 10+ years old. But man, it is so broken beyond repair that I'm surprised the devs published it as complete AND even slapped a price tag on top of it. So many unresponsive buttons from the moment you enter the menu; Campaign button crashes the game, and there other 2 difficulties (easy + hard) cannot be selected when you reach the creation. Now in the game, all voice lines you cannot speed through or skip the boring dialogues. The VAs have the most slowest speech and most mono-tone sounding voice, it feels like they just used a bot talking with speed x0.5 or x0.75 at the fastest. There's a tutorial, but I could barely handle that with all the flaws above. It's even worse when some of the NPCs don't have a dialogue bubble pop-up while instructing you how to play, so good luck remembering all of that if audio-learning is your weakest asset. The game is not beginner friendly, and fails to properly teach players how to even manage their first program. The graphics are horrid. Everything looks so stretched with some blurring on my screen, Clearly the devs did not consider acc…8 found this helpful
Kinda ironic to make a game about game development and make it an unplayable disaster.8 found this helpful
NOTE: This game has potential to be quite "fun", but it has quite some major flaws like crashing when switching tabs, awkward voice acting, music not working on the main menu, ... The only thing I found entertaining about this game is the fact that they didn't apply their own rules to have a successful game to make this one. This is a bad game, there's not 1 redeemable thing about it, even in 2014 this would be considered a bad game. If you got it as a gag gift, be sure you can beat within 10 hours, maybe less if you understand how to play right away. Luckily, there's a bug that allows you to get a lot of money quickly so it won't take 200 hours to clear each mission as I guess the dev aimed for.2 found this helpful
